Just got word that my buddies niece was murdered. He was a groomsman in my wedding, it was his oldest brother's daughter. First murder in my local sphere of friends and there's a lot. I'm really upset. Humanity can fucking suck a cock. A sudden health death or car accident sucks, but is expected. I've never experienced knowing someone that was murdered.
Supposedly this was over alimony from a divorce. They were young. Mid 20's. Court said $400/mo and he was only paying $150/mo. They were white trash, not gonna lie. He killed his ex over $250/mo. You can make that in 12 hours at McDonalds and not kill people. We're in fucked up times.

Oddly enough the only person I know who was murdered was killed in Illinois. Extended family, in his 20's. I always remember him sitting on my lap when he was a toddler, and picking at my goatee. The person who killed him was a sociopath, not done for any real reason at all. I don't think there have been many sensible murders in life.

I have no clue where people got the dumbass idea that working 60 hours a week is “working your life away. Dude could have gotten any pet time job and paid his childcare obligations with that.

I've been tracking the trial up until May which is the last court date I saw. I'm not sure the current status. For sure had to be more court dates at this point. I"ll look it up when I'm in non-insomnia mode/brain. Orange County is a pain in the fucking ass to search court data. Somehow IL counties do a better job.
Been one of the weirdest fucking days, well yesterday. Texting a buddy I've known since I was 5 and was my neighbor about going to a show/concert in Indiana (he lives in Michigan) and find out he got divorced and his niece was murdered. Tempted to take a couple of hits of weed and go back to bed. Want to drink but won't. Life is fucked up. I am happy though. Just a rough day with weird news I was not expecting.
I don't like to get super personal here, but needed to vent. I'm not some hippy dippy dude but it was a shocker. I'm a bit of a softie in these moments. Legit cried when I found out TD died and I only knew her online personality. I hate death, especially early ones. I've seen too many, mostly family, but a lot of friends.
Most of you are dicks ;), kidding, but as I've said I don't want to see anyone harmed. Life is short, enjoy it to the max and be cool. Think I'm out... for the morning... fuck insomnia.
