Fake "meat" is mostly soy iirc.
Well, in my human laboratory of one self, eliminating refined sugars (where they can be identified), white wheat flours, various seed oils, margarine etc and shifting balance of ingest to more proteins, 'safe' oils, real butter and fats with low carbohydrates, I have naturally lost weight and signs are that my hormones are working better. Fats and oils don't make you fat, refined carbs do. Also, increased vit D intake.
This means there were some agents, possibly working in combination, in those items that toxify the pituitary and/or adrenal/androgen axis. Weight loss without formal caloric dieting means that my basal metabolic rate has increased. Testosterone utilization has likely improved hair has grown back in spots and become thicker.
