This thread is first of all an acknowledgement of future history. Namely, that Jesus promised in His word to return again to rescue the redeemed Christians (dead and living) from this world before the judgement/great tribulation period.

Second, this thread will be left behind as a witness to those who are not rescued before the rapture. One day millions of people will disappear from this earth. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, your spouse, children, bus driver, co-worker, or that person you thought was a Jesus freak will all be gone. And in that moment of fear, loss and confusion there will still be a voice of reason. That voice could be the sermon you heard but ignored. It could be the memory of a friend or family member who prayed and witnessed for you. It could be a Bible or a video of the gospel. But that voice will be there (and here hopefully) to remind you that everything God said has and will happen just as He said it would.

So if one day millions of people disappear all around the world, remember that God said it was going to happen and turn to Him with all your heart knowing that you were wrong and accept His gift of forgiveness. And then study the scriptures, ask Him to reveal to you what you could have known years ago if you had taken the opportunity to listen. And He will show you what to do.

Or better yet, if you are reading this before the rapture, congratulations there is still time to escape the wrath to come. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2

But when you put your religion in my face that’s an automatic, ginormous red flag.

I feel the same way.

"I'm SOOOOOOO religious!!!!" is code for "you won't judge me to be moral, so I'm going to use my religion as a shield for my obvious lack of morality which you're later going to experience. I can't be an evil piece of shit, I'm SUPER religious!!!!"

Bitcoiner says

People who are born into a family / community outside of Christianity are doomed and go to hell just because they haven’t accepted Jesus in their life? What if they never had a chance?

I've asked this of some super, actually, religious people. "Everybody hears the word of God!" is their answer. They really believe that people in, say, Sri Lanka have come across the Bible at one point, and that was their one chance, and they blew it.

I can appreciate that people actually believe, but I also know what a sociopath is like as I've met certainly a few. Sociopaths will become whatever you want. They just want you to trust them, and they will do anything to gain that trust.

All televangelists are sociopaths, not a single one has a shred or morality or decency. They have absolute contempt for people and regard morality as a pathetic weakness of subhumans.

I envy the truly religious. When I tell people I am incapable of faith, they think I'm lying. If there's a god, it's innate in all of us, and no religion describes it. If there's a god, we're largely cut off from it during our lifetime - IF there is a god. There's a creator for certain, but no guarantee at all it's sentient or anything like that. Might be just be physics.

I grew up in the Midwest, so naturally I ran into a LOT of these kind of Christians. People who have no grace, hold to Puritan views without understanding they are cultural, not Biblical, and are completely two faced. I still like to go to church, but I'm pretty picky about where I'll take my family. And I won't force anyone to go. Had too much of that growing up, and the personal relationship is what matters, not what your parents make you do.

If someone tells you there's anything you can do to earn salvation, they don't understand the Gospel. The only difference that matters between a Christian and non-Christian - One has accepted God's free gift of salvation, the other has not. Does accepting a gift make you a better person? NO! It just makes you redeemed, by God, not of your own power, so I have nothing to brag or boast about.

I don't want anyone to be religious. I just want you to have a personal relationship with God.

On the pre-trib, was talking with my Mom who attended Seminary in addition to a BA. She said pre-trib is a very new interpretation, and uniquely American. Makes sense because older generations seemed to accept suffering more readily than people do today. I'm not a "we have to go through terrible shit" person, I'm an avoid if you can, and we definitely have a right to pursue happiness person. But pre-trib dogmatic belief, along with such literal interpretation of Revelations is the view people who haven't done much study, and don't like reality when it gets hard, tend to take.

Lines up with other poorly researched topics that have been discussed on patnet. I think some here need to spend less time on the internet, and more time reading books.

Perfect. Exactly like that.

Big difference 99.99% of those people don't hurt you and they are a small minority. The vast swaths of "atheist" leftoids hurt you on a daily basis and can't wait to put you into a concentration camp for refusing the next jab or not supporting the current thing. Maybe a bit hyperbolic but correct at its core. That's why it's wiser to be leary of people who blame Christians for everything

I knew one such guy that worked for the MIC, and was fucking his own stepdaughter.

The worst people I knew constantly talked about how religious they were, because it's literally a mask to hide what pieces of shit they are. The guy I just described is the worst case, he was a total sociopath, but there's lots of them. I knew a guy that worked as a mercenary, claimed he was uncomfortable that the woman he was banging wasn't married to him, married her, stuck around for a year, divorced her, and then sued and got alimony.

The guy was a fucking mercenary. Who could have guessed he wasn't REALLY religious?

There's two types of atheists. There's people who are just nothing, they really aren't atheists, they are just saying they are atheists, they don't know ANYTHING about religion, they don't know anything about natural sciences (which is what made me into an atheist, kicking and screaming into it), they're just fucking robots. They actually ARE religious, they believe unquestionably in "authorities".

I don't trust authority period. If somebody tells me X is true, I have enough confidence in my brain to be able to understand why X is true. If I can't understand it, then I leave it in the grey area of it being possible, but it's not enough for somebody to just make a claim and I can no longer be bullied into accepting something is "obviously true" at this point. "What are you stupid???" - well possibly I am, but why can't you explain it?

That's despicable, but nothing compared to wanting to put half of the country into concentration camps. You fail to realize that religious righteousness and whatever comes with it, inbreeding, etc., usually revolves around the family or a small cult. Leftoid atheists seek large government power to fuck things up, much worse. Look at history.

Let's look at history. The Roman Catholic Church was really the political center of Europe, that kept Europe undeveloped and impoverished for nearly 2,000 years. What broke that, is that a bunch of Europeans fled Europe, went to South and North America, and began development on everything from the pot bellied stove, to steam engines, democratic republics, the telephone, the photograph...

I don't believe in any one ideology. You need many. This current wave of wokeism stupidity, it will burn out. It might take a while, but it's not going to infect India, Russia, or China, EVER. It's basically a North America, European, Australia and New Zealand thing, and it will just weaken everybody that engages in it. It's self correcting.

There's just a lot more people to kill today than there were 200 years ago. In 1800, the world population was estimated to be around 1/2 billion people. It's estimated something like 1 million people died during the Irish famine and it didn't have to happen, the English ruled over the Irish, and basically stole everything BUT potatoes through taxation.

During the Napoleonic wars, something like 5,000,000 may have died.

We got no idea how many people died in the Inquisition..

I'm saying I'd rather have dangerous freedom, and being a peasant, and having a "safe" life, living my entire life on the edge of starvation, as a slave.

There's pushback on that. For one, the richest part of Germany has been and still is Bavaria, also the most Catholic.

The big divide was between Southern Europe and Northern Europe, and it doesn't seem to have been Protestant vs. Catholic as very Catholic parts of Northern Europe leapt ahead of Southern Europe in the 1400-1500s, such as France, as did the Protestant countries.

Pot bellied stove is hardly a great advance, but likely originated in Germany.
The steam engine was developed and perfected in Britain.
The photograph was invented in France, developed by making images from the old camera obscuras common in Europe.
Yes, the US pioneered a Republic, but with experts who borrowed heavily from the English Parliament
The telephone was indeed a US invention.

Yes, this is so tru, well said. Also, it is important to remember that even Jesus taught that the majority of people who claim to be Christian are Christian in name only. Just because someone claims to know God, does not make them a Christian. Many war a mask but their fruits are well known. But one of the stupidest things a non Christian says is that they don’t want to be Christian because Christians are hypocrites. You know where the hypocrites end up? The same place that those who reject Christ end up. Don’t look at Christians for the truth, look to Christ, He is the only one you need compare yourself to.

but why can't you explain it?

God cannot be explained, He must be experienced. You experience His creation everyday. You experience His love every day. You experience his mercy every day. One day you will either experience His forgiveness, or His judgement.

Everyone will experience God, and you still won’t be able to explain it. But you will experience Him, that is guaranteed.

Revelation 4:11

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Matthew 11:28-29

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew chapter 7

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew chapter 7:1Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Your mom has been misled by zealots who are unskilled in both history and unable to rightly divide the Word of God. Ultimately the Bible should interpret itself, with the aid of the Spirit of God. And that is how I would suggest anyone who has the love of truth approach the end time prophecies.

However, for those who insist on looking for evidence of the continuing teaching and beliefs of Christians in a pretribulation rapture you will find plenty of evidence. Over a thousand years ago preachers who did not even know America existed, preached about the rapture. https://pre-trib.org/images/2021_Conference/2021-Pre-Trib-Brainard-Recent_Pre-Trib_Rapture_Findings-Slides.pdf

And the author of this article challenges everyone to use the Bible as the source of truth, not man made traditions or claims about the origin of a teaching let theBible speak for itself. It is never wrong, but clearly God warns about adding or taking away from scripture. https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1051&context=pretrib_arch

This is absolute horseshit. I took went to a Christian college, and learned how to contextualize scripture, enabling me to pull more information than just reading alone provides. If you really want to know someone, you don't just do the bare minimum, but go deep. Researching the Bible by using historical works, anthropology, and linguistics isn't being a radical, it's being educated.

You're a stones throw away from paganism, worshiping rocks and the sun.

No offense intended, but a Christian who says another Christian is akin to a pagan for believing the Bible (and by the way the links I shared that believers throughout the ages have believed the same simple Bible promises about the imminent rescue of the church from a lost and condemned world, just as Noah and Lot were rescued before the judgement fell), well I wonder what spirit is influencing you.

Holy shit. You guys watched the Hillsong (super mega church) documentary? About to throw up now. 30 years of raping and molesting children by Frank Houston. His son Brian Houston founded Hillsong and covered up his fathers career of being a child rapist. Frank would go to these Christian homes, preach, was treated like royalty and fucked/molested the young boys in their homes at night. When kids would speak out they were blamed for making up stories. Everyone - including the par (some text omitted to shorten quote...) ed sexual purity. Meanwhile he fucked the nanny and had a few affairs.

And of course Hillsong operates like all the other cults: 98% of the staff work for free and all the money goes up to the top (pastors) so they can live in mansions, fly in private jets, have chauffeurs and build up the warchest to pay off victims and those that know what they really are (sex predators).

If you want to do yourself and especially your kids a favor, keep the fuck away from churches.

Yep.

95% of US Pastors are opposed to the Biblical penalty for lying with another man (or anything serious, at least in public FFS) , and not just that, Ted Cruz himself is blasting Uganda today for having Bible-based laws on homosexuality and vowing US sanctions on it.

50 years ago, a Christian Man who volunteered to rescue a single ho with 2 kids from 2 fathers was considered a saint going way beyond.

Today, Pastors shame Christian Men for NOT volunteering to wife up a single ho with 2 kids from 2 other fathers.

The music is feminized AF, I can't even Write it as it's blasphemous what they sing about in praise music.

Acts 20:

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
70   RayAmerica   2023 May 30, 6:58am

Hillsong, along with much of what is labeled modern evangelicalism, etc. holds to an ancient heresy known in theology as Antinomianism, which can be summed up with this; due to Christ's payment for sin on the cross, professing Christians are freed from having to follow any moral code, including the Bible's. In effect, it is a false gospel. The true gospel breaks the power of Satan and sin, and sets men free. It doesn't make them perfect, but it sets them free. Antinomianism basically teaches that the believer can remain in their rebellion against God and still claim the benefits. It happens to be a path that is wide and broad, and today, many are on this road to destruction.

Warnings of the imminent Tribulation.

You can’t make this stuff up: https://www.raptureready.com/2023/07/08/warnings-by-daymond-duck-2/

“on June 28, 2023, the World Net Daily (WND) staff reported that:

UN Sec. Gen. Antonio Guterres has called for the immediate and global destruction of the world’s energy industry because, he claims, fossil fuels are “incompatible with human survival.”
Guterres said, “All of this action must be global. It must be immediate, and it must start with the polluted heart of the climate crisis – the fossil fuel industry.”
Guterres added, “The world must phase out fossil fuels in a just and equitable way, moving to leave oil, coal and gas in the ground where they belong and massively boosting renewable investment in a just transition.”

...... concerning a global currency and the tracking and control of all buying and selling: in a speech at a World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting on June 28, 2023 (called the “Summer Davos”), Cornell Univ. professor Eswar Prasad said (as I understand it in my words for simplicity):

Everyone on earth could soon face the disappearance of physical money.
Programmable Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) could soon become a global reality.
Bank computers can be programmed to allow customers to make good purchases (buy food, medicine, etc.) or prevent customers from making bad purchases (buy porn, drugs, guns, ammunition, etc.), or to target people (make people obey the government, yield to government social policies such as abortion, the LGBTQ+ agenda, force people to buy from approved places, deny them permission to buy from unapproved places, etc.).
CBDCs could make the world a better place, but there is the potential for the world to wind up in a pretty dark place.
This is an admission at a WEF meeting that the world could soon have a global currency that can be tracked, controlled, and used to control everyone on earth.

Concerning Professor Prasad’s remarks (posted on sociable.com), website Editor Tim Hinchliffe reported comments of several influential people (again, as I understand it for simplicity):

Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, says programming should be left up to commercial banks, but they should be allowed to put conditions on how the money is used.
A Chinese official said governments should use programmability to control what people can own and how their money can be spent.
India is studying a programmable currency that will expire.
Nigeria is studying putting customers in brackets (based on obedience or whatever) with limits on how much they can spend in a day.
It is my opinion that many of the global elite are looking at ways to control everyone on earth.

(Note: I am sometimes amazed at the things people say and wonder if God plays word games with us. Professor Prasad’s statement that there is the potential for the world to wind up in a pretty dark place could be a reminder that God calls the Tribulation Period a day of darkness, and He characterizes those that enter the Tribulation Period as children of darkness (Zeph. 1:15; I Thess. 5:3-5).

Here is a link to the Sociable article so readers can form their own opinions.

https://sociable.co/government-and-policy/governments-program-cbdc-restrict-undesirable-purchases-wef-summer-davos-china/%E2%80%9C

In summary the new world order globalists want to end the use of fossil fuels by the majority of people ( they will keep their jets and villas of course) and force everyone to use digital currencies to control every purchase and ability to travel.

“Now that the UFO narrative has ramped up just as all other things that seem to be going on are converging, the subject of my emailer’s note, I think, deserves some increased scrutiny.

First, it’s interesting that US government officialdom has seen fit to change the nomenclature of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP).

My wonder over this—perhaps because of my overwhelming skepticism of anything coming out of this government nowadays—comes from the thought that someone wishes to get the public’s mind off of the kind of superfluous view that surrounds the topic of UFOs—i.e., people kind of look at these things with tongue in cheek. Even with the blockbuster movies about all of the space beings, etc., people as a whole still see in their mind’s eye little green beings of a spoofing, fictional sort.

I’m wondering if these controller types in high places now want us to begin taking the UFOs seriously. Maybe that’s why the mysterious sightings have been dubbed “UAPs” to help change our mindsets.

Certainly, the whistleblowers on the UAP matters being sent to testify before congressional committees is a sea change in the way government has, to this point, dealt with the strange sightings over the years.

We see the change in the way government wants to deal with possible visitors from other worlds in the following:

In July, Congress quietly admitted that Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) are not “man-made” and that the threat is “expanding,” burying the startling revelations in a report added to the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023. The finding was first reported by Vice on Tuesday. The report also criticized the DoD for “the slow pace” at which the department was establishing the office “to address those threats” related to UFOs. (“Congress quietly says UFO threat ‘expanding,’ not all are ‘man-made,'” American Military News)”

Is China taking this seriously? How about India or Russia?

I don't know why the US government is doing this, but I can tell you, nobody takes it seriously. I think the government is just getting more and more desperate for a distraction and they're pretty much out of ideas.

If people took this seriously, it would be on television day and night, it would be the biggest news of the century, instead we have some, supposed, whistleblower talking to a bunch of jerkoffs in congress about it.

And anyhow, let's say extra-terrestrials ARE real. Well, what are we going to do about it? They would at minimum be an interplanetary life form. They can't be violent or we'd otherwise wouldn't exist by now. They just need to tap an asteroid or a comet and the Earth is laid waste in a decade.

Our government will do anything, ANYTHING, other than to work to improve the country. It's just an endless string of distractions This is just another one of them.

First of all China and Russia already have near/complete totalitarian control of their respective citizens and don’t need to invent stories of aliens to cow the people into submission. Furthermore there is great lack of religious freedom and knowledge in those countries dominated by atheists for generations.

In the USA however there is a rifle behind every blade of grass as Imperial Japan put it, and so deception and division must be employed to prevent the people from uniting against the totalitarians who seek to enslave and control.

There are many many many liberals and “conservatives” who believe both the aliens from outer space and global warming BS stories and propaganda.

The speculation is that the powers that be are priming up the propaganda about global warming, UFOs and Christian “extremism” to prepare people to accept the big lie about why millions of people (including children) have suddenly disappeared in the twinkling of an eye.

Every generation thinks they are the last generation.

Look, our government just thinks people are fucking stupid, and maybe they are right, but they also think that anybody that isn't stupid is on "their side". They are incorrect about that.

I am tired of people who believe nonsense, but a good 10% of the population just see right through it. I'm in that 10% and I honestly couldn't understand it is that exclusive a club. This doesn't make me "smart", it just makes me something else. I have a friend who is an MIT graduate that is NOT in that 10%, and I would have never made it through MIT.

Make no mistake, if the rapture happens today, we are not the last generation. There will be at least 1007 years after the rapture before the end of this world.

OH BS.

You're afraid of your own demise you'd prefer not to die and are hoping for the end of the world to avoid it.

I'll be there in time myself. We're all doomed to die.

Stop projecting. When I die, I’m going to a better place. Honestly I’m ready. This world has nothing to offer me anyway. I’m only sticking around because God wants me here on this planet for at least a little longer. But I’m looking forward to going home. This planet may have my body, but it is not the home of my soul.

I envy your ability to have faith. I've told you that many times.

I also have no fear of death, but I have no faith in "god". We make this world what we make it, we put up with what put up with. I'm disgusted with what these "people" around me put up with. I never had any faith in god, but now, I no longer have faith in people. If our "authorities" said that Jewish people were spreading disease and had to be confined in concentration camps, it would have fucking happened. These "people" I live among are so fucking stupid. I had no idea how stupid they were. I can't trust their ability to reason or think.

I can trust an animal though. They are totally logical. You treat them well, they will treat you well. These things I have to live among? No so much.

That’s the thing. And it’s important to remember that you are just like them. No matter how much you protest, or assert superiority, you and I are at times both illogical and unreasonable. The louder you protest that fact, the more true it becomes. It’s just more evidence that we need a savior to rescue us from our own selves.

Animals have misunderstandings all the time just like people. I ran into a cane Corso owner out with his pet (in full service dog garb) the other day. He told me the dog grew up on his farm thinking it was just one of the farm animals. She was a mother herself. She recently walked into the pigpen like she always does but this time the sow thought she was a threat and bit the Corso on the head. The Corso retaliated biting off the leg of the sow who did not survive. That was a misunderstanding that ended in death. Humans, animals, we all have them all the time. Don’t pretend animals are logical or more trustworthy, misunderstandings and difficult choices happen all the time. When forced, most people will do just about anything to save themselves or their loved ones, even if it means hurting others, just like that Corso.

Will the rapture release my seat belt, or will I wind up stuck in my car?

If you are left behind you might need your seatbelt because a bunch of cars with raptured believers will turn into driverless machines. But if you are a believer, it’s likely that even your clothes will be left behind. Imagine the chaos when millions of piles of clothes just fall to the ground off the backs of raptured believers. Pilots of planes gone, surgical assistants in the middle of surgery, gone. A crane operator, gone. Thousands of car drivers on the road, gone. Whole classrooms full of kids, gone. Every single baby, gone. It will be like nothing this world has ever seen. When people do see it, will they repent and turn to God? I hope so! Jesus saves. Anyone else is just an antiChrist.

I am entirely aware of my fallibility, so I'm on guard for it, and I know I make mistakes, so accept it when I do, but this is a rarity. I'm only better in that I recognize I can fuck up, most people people around me will never accept they make mistakes. That my superiority, in recognizing my fallibility.

Because I can accept my errors and mistakes, I can stop repeating them. I live in an area of so many eggheads, they will never accept they made an error. I'm an engineer, I'm constantly being held to the fire in my errors, and I have made plenty of them, but I learn from it, so many people don't.

A corso did that? That's, um, amazing. I could take on a corso, but not a sow. In a fight to the death with a cane corso and a sow, I'm pretty certain I could take out the dog, and I don't think I could win against the pig.

HAHAHA - animals are absolutely more trustworthy, without question, no doubt.

And they are entirely logical. The situation you described was based on the animal's experience. It acted entirely logically. The sow lacked knowledge, so she attacked it. It was an intruder, and wolves, generally kill animals.

Completely logical. I love the logic of animals, because you can see it and understand it.

If you ever come across me, and you have a dog that is afraid of me, barking at me, doesn't trust me? Trust your dog. I'm absolutely not a threat, I guarantee that, but trust you dog. The ONLY time my dog showed aggression to a stranger, he was out of his mind, insane. Kelsey saw this before I did. I brought Kelsey home, and went back to the store, and it was obvious the man was out of his mind. Kelsey saw it immediately, I didn't.

Trust your dog, even when your dog might be wrong. Don't worry about offending the person, they'll get over it. Kelsey only once showed distrust, and when he did, he was absolutely right. I've had dogs distrust me, and I'm not offended. The owners have apologized to me, and I just tell them "trust your dog". I'd rather there be a false positive than a false negative.

Dogs read people better than people read people. They can be overly suspicious, but if you have a dog and it detects me as a threat, or anybody, trust your dog's instincts, they are better than yours. This might only apply to large dogs. Small dogs have growled and threatened me. On the RARE occasion I can get the owner to release the dog to actually go after me, bite me if they want, after explaining I've done dog rescue, and I will absolutely won't retaliate in any way if I'm bitten, the dog realizes I'm not a threat. This is "small dog syndrome". Many little dogs are fierce, as long as they aren't given the ability to actually go after you. They are just basically "talking shit", let go of that leash and suddenly all their bravado is gone.
