Were they not before? That's ridiculous. People can die from these situations. It's pure evil. If charged I assume it has to be a felony and some jail time? Complete waste of resources just to be child like and fuck with people.

Not a cop lover or hater, but it's an intense job. You get one newbie cop with an itchy trigger finger and an innocent person is dead over a troll. Screws up a lot of lives. That cop is going to have major mental issues. Swatting should come with a hefty required jail time of 10 years and you pay the wages for everyone involved for any follow up and the mental health of the victim.
