Should we have a “Duh!” thread as well?

Should I resent that comment?

246   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 3:13am

"Should we have a “Duh!” thread as well?"

Ooh, I like. It would make a nice addition to "huh?" and "hmm" and perhaps even "ha!"

247   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 3:15am

How about "Doh!"

248   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 3:15am

"I guess that makes us the guinea pigs. Either that or performing monkeys."

I was thinking mice. But then who is the cat toying with us all? Peter P? Mr. Fuchs? Hey, maybe THAT'S where he's disappeared to! He's holed up in some abandoned garage, has set up his own computer from abandoned parts he hauled out of dumpsters, and is now participating in the blog.

"How about “Doh!”"

Even better. Homer Simpson rocks.

What is Surfer-X feeding that cat?

251   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 3:18am

Sushi and fish tacos.

252   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 3:18am

Homer Simpson rocks.

Eat the pudding, eat the pudding, eat the pudding......

253   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 3:20am

Sushi and fish tacos.

And lots of catnip.. or was that the other cat? Must be, otherwise Mr. Fuchs would be to fuzzy headed to set up the computer. Must be good fish in those tacos.

254   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 3:32am

The real question is, what screen name is Mr. Fuchs using? Who's new to the board in the past six days?

255   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 3:35am

Screen names are not exclusive as Jack found out when another Jack started posting. Mr. Fucks could be any one of us.......

256   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:23am

"insightful and nuanced depravity."

Awww, I'm flattered. What a compliment, especially coming from you, Jack. I'm going to start using the above phrase in all promotional materials. ;-)

I respect you too. I think we need more artists such as yourself in the world, and fewer real estate agents (there, on topic!).

257   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:38am

Hmmm, here's a wild theory: Maybe Mr. Fuchs is that juju dude over on the Social Effects thread. He's brushing up on his English and typing skills before he goes mainstream with the October threads.

258   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:40am

"intentially"

Yikes, I'm starting to sound like that prisoner character from In Living Color who was always making up big words to make himself sound smart.

That was supposed to be "intentionally." I think.

259   Peter P   2005 Oct 20, 4:41am

juju sounds more like a female cat though. Perhaps my cats are blogging too.

260   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:42am

"You mean you have been unfaithful to the “Huh” thread, and have “posted on other threads”?"

I try to make a valuable contribution now and then. I don't think of it as unfaithfulness so much as "spreading the love."

261   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:44am

I'll take a Corona.

262   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:46am

"I have to say: “no comment”."

Smart man. And such restraint.

263   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:49am

"i’m suprised that more people on this board can’t look at our great failed alcohol experient and compare that to other drugs."

I really would like to address this issue without my head exploding, but I'm afraid it's just not possible. All I can say is, comparing alcohol and even marijuana with hard drugs is like comparing a house cat to a lion.

264   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:50am

Oh, but not to suggest I don't think alcohol can ruin lives. I've seen it happen up close and personal. It's not as easy to get addicted to as other drugs though.

265   Peter P   2005 Oct 20, 4:52am

Octobeer fest?

Yes, how about SF?

266   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 4:54am

"I’m jealous. “Intangibles” will never attain the noteriety “huh?” established in a matter of hours."

Wasn't our original notoreity established on the "Inflation" thread? At any rate, don't be jealous. There's plenty of depravity for all.

267   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:02am

"I just realized that if we have a beer fest, I will have to show my face again “post debacle”. I dont know if I can handle that. LOL "

Perhaps a Halloween party instead? All wear masks and costumes to avoid embarrassment? Come as your favorite element of the housing bubble? But then I would be seriously bummed to miss out on all the fun. I would want to show just to see what iceman (of the notorious "inflatables") would choose to wear. Heh.

268   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:05am

"Huh is just a better word. Period."

Absolutely.

269   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:07am

"Surfer-x would come as a can of lubricant."

Ewww. With fingerprints or without? No, don't answer that!

Well on that positive note, I must duck out of here and get some actual work done.

270   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:08am

"I mean jar. "

LMAO! I didn't catch that the first time. So did it really come in a can back in the day? So you knew who the really freaky people were by the electric can openers on the night stand?

271   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:09am

"you just want to see Iceman’s core all inflated, dont you!!"

Oh no, I just spit Coca-Cola on my keyboard. Damn you Jack.

Oops, didn't I say I was leaving?

272   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:13am

With one of those old-school cans pictured. On the can appears a very happy looking man and woman, sitting on their separate beds, while the man holds up his can of Love Lube and asks the wife, "Look honey, now we can do it doggy style!"

273   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 5:14am

Oh no i didn't just go there...

I'm really outta here now.

Ciao!

274   Peter P   2005 Oct 20, 5:24am

So it looks like the Halloween costumes are definitely OUT! But the fest is on!

When? This weekend? Next weekend?

275   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 5:25am

OMG, I leave for awhile and thread goes all to HELL. Damn, and I missed it AGAIN.

Btw, I really didn't mean to misspell Mr. Fuchs name, clearly a Freudian slip-- like there's any shortage of those around here.

276   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 5:28am

When? This weekend? Next weekend?

Oh man, I'm already committed (hah) for the next couple of weekends at various Halloween parties etc. I was thinking of going as the Darryl Hannah character Elle Woods in Kill Bill. I'm thinking a nurse costume wearing the white eye patch with the red cross on it....
Has nothing to do with the housing bubble, but a cool costume nonetheless.

We can probably wait until November...

278   surfer-x   2005 Oct 20, 7:16am

Actually, I just have to go to work for a while!

For some reason when I picture Jack working I think of Bob Ross, "now that's a nice mountain".

Must be horribly taxing cleaning those brushes. ;)

Perhaps I will dress up as Peter the Great.

280   SQT15   2005 Oct 20, 9:11am

Peter

Isn't that who you are every day?

281   Peter P   2005 Oct 20, 9:14am

Isn’t that who you are every day?

No, I am Peter the Minion.

282   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 1:43pm

Okay, now I'm picturing you looking like Darryl Hannah, with Farrah hair. The costume sounds way cool. As for how to make it relate to the housing bubble...

You could be Nurse Bendover. You know, signifying how all those NAALVP people are going to take it in the $(@.

283   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 1:45pm

"OMG, I leave for awhile and thread goes all to HELL. Damn, and I missed it AGAIN."

And here I am now playing all alone. Sigh. I did some actual work today. I'm feeling all productive and stuff.

284   Jamie   2005 Oct 20, 1:47pm

"Although I believe it is not necessarily a derogatory term."

Surfer dude, I don't know what crowd you're hangin' in, but skanky is most definitely a major slander. Right up there with hoochie mama and stank ho.
