"We speak in strange tongues now."

Do we ever.

994   Jamie   2005 Nov 2, 1:13pm

"Interesting to learn about your choices, research, particular dilemmas,"

Ha. You were ignoring all my posts before, weren't you? I've told my sad tale more than a few times on this blog. And you were all like, "oh, that Jamie dude, whatever. I'm not reading his posts." Until you discovered my deviant tendancies, that is.

995   Jamie   2005 Nov 2, 1:18pm

"I trembled in anticipation as I hit the return button on my laptop…"

Doesn't take much to make you tremble, does it? I'll cool with moving on to the prick thread once we've flogged this one to 2000. SPHUH lives.

I was thinking of some other dumb acronyms today (it's what I do), but now I've forgotten them all. See, I really do have a cold. Oh, I think one of them was Society for Preservatoin of Underground Deviancy. SPUD.

It sounded funnier in my head.

996   Jamie   2005 Nov 2, 1:19pm

" I’ll cool with"

I meant I'M...

997   Jamie   2005 Nov 2, 1:21pm

"SQT sent me for emoticons,
the new digs are cool Jamie, bring the goat"

I have no idea where that poor goat is. Allah?

998   Jamie   2005 Nov 2, 1:23pm

"but dont forget to let me tell you how SUNNY Fairfax is compared to most of Marin"

How SUNNY is it JACK?

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzze...only 48 more posts until Huh?-2000 & you give up now???
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzze.

1000   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:33am

No one clearly answered my tweaker question. Here's one of the many lists of definitions on Urban Dictionary:

Tweaker:
1. Person who constantly stays up cleaning, washing, organizing, powertooling, sorting or otherwise keeping themself busy doing menial tasks.
2. Someone who constantly makes slight alterations on (usually a very specific) object, i.e. computer, software, automobile, etc.
3. A compulsive liar, thief, or both.
4. A methamphetamine ("tweak"), or other form of speed, addict (who displays all of the above in an obsessive-compulsive manner)."Tommy what are you doin' man?"
"I've been real busy sorting bolts!"

So which meaning are you using, newsfreak?

1001   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:35am

"Society for the Protection of Obnoxious Observations: ( SPOO ) "

Good one!

1002   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:36am

1970, a good year for hair

1003   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:36am

Hey, damn it, you screwed up my 1970 post!

1004   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:37am

"Society for the Promotion of the Unintentionally Sick and Sexually Oriented” (SPUSSO) "

Eeeeewwww. But also LOL.

1005   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:38am

SPUSSO sounds like some kind of art medium gone wrong.

1006   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:38am

1974, the year of my birth, yeehaa

1007   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:41am

"Jeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzze…only 48 more posts until Huh?-2000 & you "

SJ Jim, you can't be a SPHUH member, or a SPUSSO or a SPOO member for that matter, if you only contribute one puny post to the cause! Come on now!

1008   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:42am

"Carter Reagan Bush Clinton, PLEASE Noooooooooooooooo! No more walks through yesteryear inflicted on us or I am leaving early! "

Jeeez, you're kind of a prima donna today aren't you?

1009   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 1:47am

Ok, I think I have most of you beat on having the best year to be born.

1969 Huh? Huh?

It kind of explains a little depravity don't it?

1010   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 1:49am

Post 1980.

You can't be a gen-x'er and not have a certain fondness for the eighties. Wall o' bangs anyone?

Let's not forget Duran Duran.

1011   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:51am

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

The site stopped working for a few minutes! I almost had to like, go do some work or something.

Gasp, gasp. Whew.

1012   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 1:53am

Yes, very depraved birthdate…Did you get some “rest” last night SactoQT?

O ye of the dirty mind.

My husband is an overgrown kid and likes to skateboard (yes skateboard) and wednesday's are his night to skate. I get time ALONE on wednesday's. Little piece of heaven.

1013   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:54am

1969 explains everything, SQT.

Everything!

The 80s were kind of miserable for me, honestly. I do have some fond memories of Duran Duran, David Lee Roth, and Prince, among others, but mostly my life didn't start getting fun until the 90s.

1014   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:55am

Wow, that's really cool that your husband still skateboards! My husband (a bit older than me) still plays basketball but keeps breaking body parts. :-( Will be a sad day if he ever has to give it up.

1015   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 1:56am

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

The site stopped working for a few minutes! I almost had to like, go do some work or something.

Gasp, gasp. Whew.

Don't scare me like that! I am working on my underachiever status.

1016   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 1:58am

"got to know you better and appreciate you “as a person”. (Don’t you love the phrase?)"

That *is* a really weird phrase. I mean, I guess it's good that you're not appreciating me as a goat, or an automobile, or a tree, right?

But you know, I smashed my finger in a car trunk--I didn't cut it.

1017   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 1:59am

I graduated in 87' so I had a few college years in the 80's. Way more fun than high school.

1018   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:01am

"Women always seem to go for the “overgrown kids”…"

I dunno.... I think it depends on the woman. I've got plenty of friends who prefer overgrown assholes.

"I guess it beats the alternative…”Fencepost”"

Huh? Er, I mean, Sphuh?

1019   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 2:01am

Overgrown kid's beat Bad Boy's any day of the week!

1020   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:03am

So who gets to do the much-anticipated 2000ndth post?

1021   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:04am

"Except when I say it of course…"

Hmmmm.

1022   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:04am

I do!

1023   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 2:06am

So who gets to do the much-anticipated 2000ndth post?

I guess it depends on who has the best trigger finger (heh).

1024   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:07am

Ah-ha. I don't know any meth users, so I guess this is a whole phenomenon I'm missing out on. Thankfully.

1025   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:08am

It was me! My "I do" post was 2000. See, how clever? I answered my own who gets the 2000ndth post question with the answer "I do."

Terribly, terribly clever.

A hard day's work done. Whew.

1026   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:09am

Oh darn it, other people answered before I hit reload. Well, now my last post sounds even dumber.

1027   SQT15   2005 Nov 3, 2:10am

Ah-ha. I don’t know any meth users, so I guess this is a whole phenomenon I’m missing out on. Thankfully.

You are lucky, my brother was a meth user. It's not pretty.

1028   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:10am

And dumber and dumber and dumber.

1029   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:12am

"I was deeply hurt by what you said earlier, so I was just giving you a hard time. "

Deeply hurt? Like curled up on the floor of your shed weeping violently? So hurt you can barely type?

1030   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:13am

(Dumber and dumber and dumber was referring to me and my posts--not your brother SQT. I'm sorry your family had to go through that.)

1031   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:14am

Hey, let's stop and 2020 and move to our new residence.

It's a nice round number, and no one will want to disturb it.

1032   Jamie   2005 Nov 3, 2:16am

NO MORE POSTS!
