Perhaps it s a sign of my cynicism more than anything but I never doubted for a second he'd sign it...

Signing statements... Meaningless. As useless as the financial regulations & laws have been over the past several years.

At some point in the future analyses will reveal the paper trail of how this came to be but is it an exaggeration to imagine that this is the official point at which America as it's existed for the past couple hundred years is officially over?

Or can we just chalk it up to poetic justice?... US politics has always had one standard for itself and another for people in countries it was aggressing against. Now it's just the same standard for all, the veil iscoming off.

It's just more shit to put on the growing list of things, future administrations will have to FIX.

Yeah well good luck with that. No administrations will move away from it until there's real campaign finance changes and the current system of legalized bribery is broken. You can't try to blame this only on the current administration, much as it fits your worldview to do so.

All you GOP voting folks can start moving toward fixing it right now by voting for Ron Paul. A vote for any other candidate is a vote for SOPA & NDAA.
