Traditional gender roles, is the nonsense we're focused on, so much so to the point we ignore the adulteration and deterioration of society. Just the general lack of respect for each other. Is what is doing us in, we think morality is what people think or how they act in the privacy of their own home. Morality is the example every one sets in public. The morality now is every one bitching with tit for tat moot points. Like Georgia working up legislation to limit Vasectomies. It's why nothing gets done in this country. The actual laws on the books are actually acts passed in desperation to make a "Well screw you" gesture.

People are raised out side of classic or natural parental units all the time. Raised by grandparents, siblings, aunts, foster kids, adopted kids, what makes gays so special, or an impediment for that matter. They shouldn't be given a second thought. How ever, that doesn't mean, that biological parents aren't necessary, or we should abandon family values. Because we can have the state ward any idiot guardianship of your kid.

If anything, if the government is going to meddle, I for one rather they be the moral patrol and make parents take a more responsible role. Instead of looking for ways to yank their kids, and hand them over to someone that feels robbed because they don't have Children.

Kids don't come with a operation manual. And in many cases, people are having kids, and are unprepared to have them. That's not to say, they would ever be prepared. Leave them alone they'll figure it out, our parents did. I always thought the parents of the kids I grew up with, that consulted books and over planed or over analyzed parenting. Were out of touch with reality. I had a best friend like that.
We got our asses busted when we screwed up, all five of us have careers and are home owners. Some of us have kids and all are doing very well in school.
