Ron Paul seems to have more common sense than all the rest of congress put together.

This is not Ron Paul's STRENGTH as a candidate, it's one of his weaknesses.

Americans LIKE having a "big stick". And as surely as you have a large standing army with plenty of hardware, it will get used. Is he in favor of eliminating 90% of the military and turning what remains into purely border defense? No.

Americans LIKE being able to watch USA bomb the crap out of brown people in faraway lands. They LIKE watching war stories. Their real frustration right now is most of these wars have gone on long past the point where the networks would have cancelled them for low ratings. They are now bored with Lost which has gone on too long, and want that slot freed up so they can start the new season and watch much anticipated "Iran Gone Wild".
