I looked into it, and decided it would be really nice if you could take your phone to an open house, take a photo, and instantly show it on Patrick.net filed under the right address in the Open House Reviews forum.

Then I looked into it more and realized that would be pretty hard, requiring me to purchase some phones, dev software, learn new programming languages, etc.

Then I looked into it even more and decided it's really easy! All you'd have to do is take a photo with your phone, and email it to photos@patrick.net (address doesn't exist yet, but will soon).

Since most newer phones label photos with GPS coordinates, I can probably figure out the address from that. Or you could just type the address into the subject line and I could make that the title of the thread.

Think people would do Patrick.net photo uploading via mobile phone emails?

That's a cool idea Patrick, you need an app for that.

That way it can get the GPS coordinates and push the photo, to a service or email if you must.

I think most smartphones can display non-mobile web pages without too much trouble. At least mine can with a 4.3" 720p display.
