Someone should tell Nancy it's not an Era, it's permanence of it throughout all the government agencies and all the government unions.

707, corruption permeates ALL organizations? I think that's just a feeble justification. In other words, if ALL organizations are corrupt, then it must be OK for the government to be corrupt - is that your line of thinking?

Good point. No, I do not think that this justifies corruption. Efforts should be made to minimize corruption and the first step to this is to realize that corruption is a problem inherent in any human endeavor.

Perhaps permeates was too strong of a word. I should have said corruption is a presence in all organizations.
Different styles of organization lend themselves more or less toward corruption. Generally speaking the more money at stake and the more opaque and organization the higher the risk of corruption.
There must be at least ONE honest company in America...well maybe not. Have you ever dealt with sub-contractors? Case closed.

Thank god we've got honest appointees in high government offices, placed there by a reputable president. No cronysim here, and corruption IS over.
