The bigger problem isn't the lack of jobs, its the lack of entrepreneurial enterprise.

Out of 642 people there's not one, with a business idea, and or opportunity?

We can't expect these fortune 500 companies to employ the whole country, what with their bottom lines, and the quarterly profits and all that.

Mom and Pop doesn't fire staff because they didn't meat earning forecasts. Unless those numbers actually are in the Red. They'll take no or even marginal growth over negative growth.

Large companies fire people because they made 1 billion profit, instead of 1.3 billion.

But I guess none of this matters much to a constituency that would be contempt to ride this bust all the way to the Welfare dole, and Free health care. Then that way they can work on that street corner tan, they've been putting off for so long.
