It makes no economic sense to be an atheist.
If you are right, you get nothing.
If you are wrong, you may face the music when you finally meet Him. :-)

What if Jesus was just a Prophet, not the Son of God, and you ridiculed Mohammed, the last and final Prophet?
Oops!

Ok. There are dozens of variations of all major religions. There are dozens of versions of Christianity alone. Curiously each and every one of them claim to be the only "true" religion, and unless you pay them tithe you are awaiting eternal damnation. Now what should I do - pay 10% to every one of them (I ma sure that adds up to more than 100%) and spend every waking moment worshiping in each and every one of the churches just to make sure I cover the only "true" religion? Nah - does not work either. Churches mostly expressly forbid praying to the wrong God - so I'll be damned this way too... Oh boy - what can I do?

Fear tactics. Grow up child. We are adults here and do not fear you bogyman God.
So your God is a God of non-disclosure and if one does not believe in the undisclosed ---that he is hiding on purpose, --- one gets eternal punishment.
Keep your immoral God, out of fear, even if you have to take an immoral position.
God will be please that you think he is such an immoral prick.

Perhaps you should skip the middlemen.
And become a Gnostic Christian like me.
Perhaps you are not as stupid as your original post indicated.
That is a good idea.

Well, they all agree (Shiite, Sunni, Catholic, Protestant, Morman, etc.) on who Satan is. Since you are doomed to Hell anyway, it makes "economic sense" to be a devil worshipper - might as well attempt to get in good with your future overlord. Maybe he will let you have a few marshmellows.

You have to both bribe and threaten to get converts? How about some simple facts.
Science explains the existence of God.

Without a personal apotheosis, all who claim that God is real without any personal knowledge --- without a clear logic trail --- are just lying to themselves as well as others.
All who claim a God are also idol worshipping. They have just pasted their bible pages onto a golden calf. They think they have hidden the calf’s shape but it is still discernible under the manmade WORD of God. To have a Godinabook is to idol worship.
Most that follow a religion do not really follow it. They only follow tradition and cultures based on old tribal ways.

Are you an idol worshipper or do you fall under the first link’s definition?
If not, give the logic trail to your God.

P. S. Most will see this O P as an attack on those who believe. If you do, then you should know that I am not an atheist but call myself a Gnostic Christian and do believe in a Godhead. It is just not supernatural and is not immoral the way the bible God is portrayed to be.
