And that's why so few people become physicists. Our dumb country doesn't value them as much as it should. But we'll spend billions on "reality tv" shows.

I'd like to see a reality TV show where grossly underpaid and unappreciated science grad students compete for a $40k/yr post-doc with no benefits or job security. Think bumfight.
