Though I had looked forward to an amusing critique of the FIRE industry including the Fed, this particular cartoon has a weird and troubling Christian cursader angle. The sword-wielding narrator says not even God can get into the Fed, with a cartoon of Jesus banging fruitlessly on the door. Later the narrator invokes the power of God repeatedly, including a scene about Thomas Jefferson, which is very surprising because Jefferson was an atheist or deist and especially critical of Christianity. The lengthy Rothschild narrative, brought forward to add Bernanke and culminating in bloody decapitation, seemed perilously close to Pat Robertson blaming everything on a conspiracy of Jewish bankers. The cartoon does accurately spread some of the blame to Woodrow Wilson and Hank Paulson, but otherwise seemed to be advocating Steve Forbes policies like the gold standard, ending the income tax or at least the capital gains tax, etc. At some moments I almost expected to see an endorsement "Vote Forbes/Robertson in 2008" or something similar.

Not Christian, Spartan.
This documentary is stupid for several reasons. It doesn't talk about how unstable the system was under a fixed gold standard. It doesn't talk about the severe wealth disparity during that time. It's convenient to blame everything on Jewish bankers.
