I've always heard 2 months lag, but you may be right.

And correct about the Nor-Cal SFH detail.

I've always wanted to find a way to customize the C-S index for zip code and/or price tier. That would be interesting!

The thing to notice here is that from March 2012 to September 2012 (only 6 months time), the market went from index 126 to 143 in Northern CA. That's a 13.5% gain in only 6 months!
