Sarkozy sentenced to 5 years in prison for criminal conspiracy

The former President of the Republic and two former ministers, Claude Guéant and Brice Hortefeux, have been sentenced by the Paris court for criminal conspiracy in the Kadhafi affair. Sarkozy has been sentenced to five years in prison. He is expected to be incarcerated even if he appeals. He has been acquitted of the corruption charges.
