A few of the large property management companies have buildings. Essex, Prometheus, etc. I'd go with those guys or find a condo to rent. Generally, I think the apartment stock in the mid peninsula is better than the south bay (newer construction).
Hi folks,
This will be my first time renting in my life outside of college (I'm a homeowner and renting my place out in the Oakland Hills due to job relocation).
I'm looking at renting a 1bdrm in the downtown San Mateo/Burlingame area currently and have primarily been looking at craigslist.
I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations as to what other references I can use besides craigslist. Should I contact a property management company in the area? If so, any recommendations?
Craigslist has a been a bit scarce in terms of offerings.
