Still it begs the question WHY this person went to a university that has such a policy. She must have known she preferred the company of women long before she filled out that application.

I wonder that myself, but it doesn't make the discrimination any more acceptable. If this college had a policy of not letting African-Americans attend, it would be shut down in a heartbeat.

The deplorable Grace University kicked out a student for being gay and now refuses cooperate with transferring her credits until she pays them six grand.
Any college that discriminates against gays should not be allowed to issue degrees at all for the exact same reasons that any college that discriminates against any races should not. Furthermore, since this deplorable university kicked out this student without cause and on the basis of bigotry, it should not be entitled to any payments, and should in fact have to refund all prior payments.
Any university that refuses to accept her college credits should be told that it will no longer be allowed to do business.
Colleges have way too much power over their students. The purpose of colleges is to serve society by education the next generation. When greed and religion get in the way, those colleges should be shut down.
