Well hopefully the prosecutors wont turn this into a race war to help with his political parties ticket in the elections. And they will convict the guy accordingly to his crimes, and it wont become a political debate.

My wish is that the prosecutors will prove he wasn't acting under the statute of SYG but unlawfully murdered someone. The problem isn't SYG, the problem is people who try to use it to get away with murder. If someone broke into your house and was threatening your family. You would like to think you would be in the right to kill that person before he harmed you and your family.
Which was NOT the case here.

If this turns into a SYG or Race debate, the guy will walk.

When a prominent Rep/Con/Tea Floridian's family member is shot down in the streets at the hands of a SYG Killer,the law will change,maybe sooner than later.

Walking away vs approaching are two different things.

But no not like George Zimmerman at all, George was tried for being White, during Obama's second term election bid.

He should have been at least fairly tried on the other charge, but he never was. He was tried for being a stark raving racist card carrying Teabagger member, who loves Guns and Jesus.

The Old guy there isn't any race angle, just an Old guy Who should have left his gun at home, who shot some Jackass who tossed popcorn at Him. Now the Old guy should pay for his Crime, but I'm sure he knows what he did.

But just remember, some old guy that is 71 years old, has nothing to lose, but every thing to lose. Do you know how many people over 70 was assaulted last year? Most end up with the Old guy dying. I bet that couple are the same type who have crappy opinions of people who bring their kids along where ever they go, because that's what families do. Then bitch about someone else, and how inconsiderate they are. But have no problem at all, jumping on their iPhone during the biggest blockbuster of the year, while her husband throws pop corn in the face of the older gent who told them to take it out to the lobby.

I mean still it shouldn't have came to what it came to. But I think this is a learning opportunity for America to learn a lesson about respect, and civility. But I'm sure it will just be more "Anti Gun" rhetoric and more "Old Fart" bashing will come out of it. Or they'll merge into the perfect gripe the "Well armed geezer" crises.
