This is sort of like saying that cheese wizz was the most popular food in America 2 years in a row. Just because something crappy become popular doesn't mean its good.
Besides, Fox News isn't actually classified as real news. Per the FCC its actually political satire.
I call it "The Daily Panic and Birther Atrocity Alert".
You need at least five minutes a day to properly cleanse your bowels in the morning.
Any more, and you are in danger of contracting Fox News dementia.

That's false, it's another one of those fictitious internet stories bandied about like, " Obama declares November National Muslim Appreciation Month"

But I guess it doesn't really matter as most young people now say they get their news from the Comedy Channel

Nope. Its true, sad to say ( and I really mean that)lakermania says

Actually, most younger people likely get their news from online sources. Cable news, regardless of network is basically condensed news with few details. Furthermore, its embarrassing that grown adults would get their news from Fox to begin with. Then again, it makes more sense given the general lack of knowledge when it comes to global and even domestic issues when it comes to such consumers of this so-called "news"

Really??
Appellate Court Rules Media Can Legally Lie.
By Mike Gaddy. Published Feb. 28, 2003
On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast.
On August 18, 2000, a six-person jury was unanimous in its conclusion that Akre was indeed fired for threatening to report the station's pressure to broadcast what jurors decided was "a false, distorted, or slanted" story about the widespread use of growth hormone in dairy cows.
The court did not dispute the heart of Akre's claim, that Fox pressured her to broadcast a false story to protect the broadcaster from having to defend the truth in court, as well as suffer the ire of irate advertisers. Fox argued from the first, and failed on three separate occasions, in front of three different judges, to have the case tossed out on the grounds there is no hard, fast, and written rule against deliberate distortion of the news.
The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch, argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves.
In its six-page written decision, the Court of Appeals held that the Federal Communications Commission position against news distortion is only a "policy," not a promulgated law, rule, or regulation. Fox aired a report after the ruling saying it was "totally vindicated" by the verdict.
Really?
Yes..really... I said the FCC Fox News story was a hoax, nothing more. I'm not sure why you posted that article about a woman suing a Fox owned station that she worked for 17 years ago but never worked for Fox Cable News which is what the subject is about. It also doesn't do your credibility any good that the source you provided is incredibly biased like the ones that counter it such as the one below:
http://www.campaignfreedom.org/2009/11/03/fox-lies-videotape-debunking-an-internet-myth/
Look Fox has lied and spoken mistruths many a time, just like every other network, the NY Times makes living off it. So even if you didn't want to directly dispute what I quoted, how hard was it to come up with a legitimate source/story against Fox News, when there are quite a few of them out there?
The fact of the matter is that Fox News is totally and intentionally forumlaic and custom-designed to appeal to a select and highly studied set demographic whom are already predisposed to believe, or want to believe whatever hoakey right-wing propaganda they're told. Its basically marketing 101: tilt the "news" to one political extreme and then since the demographic that consumes it is well known, then thus an easier job for the companies that sell products via commercials have.
The fact that the many bogus stories shared by many of our fellow right wing members on this site seem to almost always come from Fox sources because those stories support their idealogical beliefs is proof enough that Fox is indeed Satire all the way.
I sat through a grueling piece on NPR last week on a 45 minute drive from the Gables. It was a piece on Roger Ailes, the author of some book that is out. That bitches about Roger's success with FOX, it even goes as far as to feel sorry for him.
They talked about how some mid western people called in complained because when they turned their TV off at night, the FOX logo was burned into the screen. "From watching it all day?" "Oh yes, of course, from having it on droning and indoctrinating them with the GOP agenda and message" the author exclaimed.
They were outraged by this, and even more so, that FOX made the logo spin to fix the problem, rather than the viewers just turning the damn thing off.
Like I'm sure Hufopoo wouldn't like to have that problem?
Then they talked about Roger and how he runs FOX and how he gets in early and sets the tone for all of the other anchors and reporters that work for FOX to rile about all day.
I really wanted to stop them right there. But since I couldn't, I'll ask you guys...
DO you Clowns really think people are that fucking stupid, that Obama and the Liberals in Washington are doing a fine damn job. And all of the people who have lost faith in Obama or even complains about his ineptitude as a leader, don't even have an original thought in their heads? What we're all just cool with this shit, and all it takes is Rosh Limbaugh to say something on the radio, that Roger Ailes heard on the drive into work, then went to his office and ranted and made notes on the dry ease board, that Glen Beck then repeated on air, that O'Reily then heard, that I then heard O'Reily repeat on his show from the Norton's lunch counter, as FOX played on the television?
NO!!!!! FOX has the ratings because they are the only God damn son of a bitch, even bothering to preach to the choir. It's like that bad awful Coworker that you can't stand at work. But your boss was even a bigger tool, so when that person comes to you and say, "Hey did you hear, Mike Crappola, got canned yesterday? Things are looking up..."
Now even though you hate this person so bad, and your natural instinct would be to just punch him, you can't control your self as you excitedly jump up and exclaim... "I KNOW RIGHT?! OH My god I thought he'd Neeeeevah leave..."
