Oh God, now they know why we buy overpriced homes.

Yup
According to your chart in the OP:
CA average IQ: 95.5
NJ average IQ: 102.8
Your Honor, I rest my case!!
Not so fast.
If the test was in Spanish our scores would go up by 10%
If we cleaned up our school system score would go up by another 10%
If we import more smart Asians our score would go up by another 10%
If we send our welfare crowd to New Jersey scores up by another 10%
The jury can now begin deliberations.
"based on spelling, grammar and word choice" ... not exactly an IQ test. Especially from a state with the most foreign language speakers.

IQ tests are highly unreliable.
Back in college I remember reading about an IQ test for children. The question was...where do you put a refrigerator? American kids got the right answer, kitchen, but many Brazilian kids got it wrong, bedroom. They found out many Brazilian kids lived in homes that had only one room.
IQ tests just don't reflect the background of the person taking the test.

True but determining if the predicate confirms or denies the subject indicates some intelligence?
Just because I am from California, I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid.
California manages to be the stupidest state with an ever shrinking blond population.
California Teacher's Union mottos, "Keep 'em dumb, voting and pouring over the borders so that we are nothing but a growth industry." "It's our job to diseducate the teeming third world at California taxpayer expense."

They still flunked, because the correct answer would have been "business office" because that is where mom conducted business.

I'm not surprised that you do not know, basic logic, predicate confirms or denies the subject.
