Yeah, I'm sure that the classmates of her kids won't ever Google their last name and find out that their mom gave a blow job to someone. And if they did, I'm sure the classmates won't harass and bully the kids because of this. After all, who ever heard of kids or adolescents making fun of the sexuality of their classmates' mothers?
The stupid fucking press should think a little before printing names. Hell, there is absolutely no purpose in printing this woman's name other than to slut shame her. We need real privacy rights. Freedom of the press is suppose to protect the press from government, not give the press a free pass to ruin private, powerless citizen's lives and the lives of their children.

I agree that I don't fully understand why they printed the name, but they do the same when anyone abandons their kid. I'd guess that they mentioned it was oral only because a) it was in the police report and b) someone decided that if she was going to abandon her kids, she should have at least picked something that could give *her* an orgasm.
Why commit multiple crimes where the only benefit is swallowing a few calories worth of spunk or having it squirted on your boobs? If you're going to break the law, you should go all out and really get bo*nked.

That should be the point. And yes, arrest and try her, but
1. This is not even press worthy. Not even the part about the crime itself, and more so not the sexual act.
2. It is despicable to slut shame this woman.
3. Shaming this woman also shames her children for life, and they will be bullied as a result.
4. Both she and her children will have harder times getting jobs because employers will Google their names and some will decide to pass on them simply out of prudishness or religious judgement. It will be impossible to demonstrate this though.
It's stories like this that make me disgusted with our lazy, greedy press. The press should be doing what Edward Snowden did, exposing the crimes in government. That has value for society.
You can tell which news agencies are actually worth listening to by who does not cover this story. NPR would never. Even The Daily Show and The Colbert Report wouldn't. Those two comedy news shows should be taken more seriously than any news agency that covers this.

Well if the Cops really thought those kids were in that much danger and if he knew that the kids were in the car, then he's just as irresponsible.
If he didn't know, then 10 to 1, he was a John.
Either way, his arrest would have cleared things up, and completed the "rest of the story".

He was not arrested because the police were sure he committed no crime. I'm sure they questioned him.

A Louisiana woman faces child desertion charges after deputies said she admitted leaving her children unattended in her parked car while she performed oral sex on her boyfriend in his car, according to KBMT.
Police were called to the scene after someone reported the kids, ages 5 and 7, alone in the car around midnight. Calcasieu Parish deputies found Princess Marks, 25, of Lake Charles, in her boyfriend's car nearby.
Marks told deputies that she was unable to see the children or her SUV from her boyfriend's vehicle. She was arrested and later released on $5,000.
Her children were placed in the care of other family members.
Marks isn't the only woman who has gotten in trouble for flagrantly shirking her responsibilities as a mother this year.
