You should have to time the markets to get rich. Slowly and steadily investing over the decades should be sufficient. It would be if the financial industry and the Federal Reserve weren't so criminal and corrupt.

Putting money in the stock market is investing or speculating or trading those funds.
Not everyone wants to, or should, do that.
One of the purposes of the current financial repression (keeping interest rates below real inflation) is to force savers into risk trades.
