About the question ? Mish, you never seem to fully penetrate what is actually a very interesting question.

Here are some hints.

Up to a certain point, technology helped people be more productive in their work. But there were plenty of jobs for humans.

Soon (not quite as soon as you think) so many tasks will be done by computers and robots that there will not be enough jobs to keep most humans productively employed.

How will society deal with this ? How will the governments of the world deal with this ? The question is an interesting one, and it's a much bigger question than simply being about deflation or the fed.
