"Sometimes I think maybe it would be better for our bear to sit quietly, rather than chasing around the forest after piglets. To sit eating berries and honey instead. Maybe they will leave it in peace," Putin said.

"They will not. Because they will always try to put him on a chain, and as soon as they succeed in doing so, they tear out his fangs and his claws."
................
"Once they've taken out his claws and his fangs, then the bear ... (will) become a stuffed animal," he said. "The issue is not Crimea. The issue is that we are protecting our sovereignty and our right to exist."

Putin later explained that "piglets" referred to chubby Russian women which he occasionally chased after a night of too much vodka and boiled beef tongue.

Maybe true but we can cut that in half by decriminalizing weed. The chance of you being assassinated by the govt in Russia is much higher than it is here.

In 2003, Putin started an anti-oligarch campaign. He had been President since 2000.

I do not doubt for one second he had to present himself first as their ally, then he turned against them. There was no way to get power without doing so in the first place, utterly impossible.

The funny thing was, the Western Press that went "Oh bad, how sad" over Oligarchs in Russia, suddenly said "Putin Dictator" when he started putting the worst offenders in jail for assassination conspiracies, tax evasion, fraud, and theft.

This isn't a surprise when one considers that US Foreign Policy Maestros like ZBig have been calling for a weak Russia, decentralized, and preferably ruled by Oligarchs easily bribed for a long time.

The most ludicrous conspiracy theories, like Putin bombing Moscow to find an excuse to intervene in Grozny, are entertained in the most allegedly dignified papers in the US - the same papers who blow off any negative-to-USG conspiracies and have a long history of headpatting on torture, Saudi preferential treatment, etc.

This is how dictatorships start. When normal citizens take freedom for granted. I am beginning to wonder if freedom will end during my lifetime in this country-we are heading there faster and faster -with both parties complicit and with citizens cheering for an end to freedom.

Absolutely.

Our moral Calvinism has gotten utterly out of control.

Now that sounds believable and you clearly are more informed about the situation than I am... I usually scroll pretty fast past long posts and from some skims you sounded like some propaganda outlet initially. Thanks for the replies man. I've got to finish packing for a trip to visit family or I'd ask for more. Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays and all that jazz.

Right on. It's an ill wind that blows no minds. Russia has plenty of problems, too, of course. Have a great Holiday!

Sounds just like another Sunday afternoon at SlutBitchHoe's house...

entire chicken up their vagina in a public supermarket

Hahahahaha... Awesome!

Yeah, I saw some of the orgy pictures. Chicken is hard to believe unless it was cut up or a small bird.

Balsy! Not might type but balsy!

Bad comparison.
In russia, most of the time you just disappear...

lostand confused says

The chance of you being jailed in the USA is much higher than Rusia.

In the US, the president has the power to make you disappear-no trial, no charges-just disappear. Despite many efforts, he won't divulge how many have disappeared-or if he has used that power. So what's the difference??

the difference is in the statistics you reference.
Less percentage of people in jail in russia, or do you think they are all saints over there in comparison to US?

Maybe they just don't have a prison industrial complex that earns huge amount of money by imprisoning people for non violent crimes and ruining their lives for ever by creating records.

When law enforcement becomes a business and livelihood for millions-then people become livestock.

Law enforcement only appears as a business and livelihood to people who expose themselves to it through their own stupid, ignorant illegal actions.

To the vast majority of law abiding folks, it does not appear as anything at all, as it is not a part of their lives.
