Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have three archetypical constituencies imho: wise old men, women, and angry young men.

Judaism is a religion of wise old men with money, kinda cynical and bitter. They've seen it all before and know how the story goes. You can't tell them anything. Numerically the smallest by far, but with influence similar to the other two just by playing the game so well via long experience.

Christianity has a natural constituency of women, specifically mothers. "Love one another" is pretty much the same as "play nice", which kids get told by mothers in the sandbox. It's more naive than Judaism, but more loving and universal. Not inherently hostile or striving.

Islam is the religion of angry young men. It's about two kinds of booty: money, and, well, booty. It decorates the landscape with erect phallic structures. It's about invading and conquering, and its intense hatred of Judaism reflects the eternal division between the striving young and the conservative old.

Hopefully I've now offended everyone equally.

That's true of any religion.

I question whether it's true of Buddism but in general there do seem to be people who want to feel more powerful, more legitimate, and morally superior to their enemies and anyone who disagrees with them, including sometimes government. Recently, even Baptist TenPoundAss arrogated to himselt the authority to declare the Pope illegitimate, thus illustrating the pattern.

Buddhism is optional on the belief in a deity or not. It sees the existence or nonexistence of god as a side issue, read the sutra "things the do not lead to edification."

So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Why are Gays a problem? Are we living in a dangerously underpopulated world?

Do we live in the world where children do not have enough wrong and bad influences? And America, if it wasn't for immigration we'd be dropping in population like flies.

What is the societal harm in gay sex? Heterosexuals pass plenty of STDs (and do Sodomy, which historically has been considered both oral and anal sex), and with gay sex there's no unwanted babies, crack babies, AIDS babies, food stamps, etc.

Not true, the Millenials as large as the Boomers. Until they hit about 40, we won't know for sure - Naturally they'll be delaying births until late because of the crap economy.

In any case, America's population dropped by half with no immigrants would mean a better standard of living for all.

That's true but misleading. The vast, vast majority of Buddhists believe in Gods and Demons and Angels and the powers of past Bodhisattvas (Amida Buddha can take you to the Pure Land in your next life, where it's easier to become Enlightened). Only handful of Japanese and "Golden Mountain" sects don't hold beliefs in the Supernatural. Buddhists get into regular battles over whether a particular supernatural entity is a helper or a demon; Tibetan Demonology books rival anything ever written by the Catholic Church since the Dark Ages

It's as useless trying to reason with that religious closet case as with the Spanish Christians who murdered the new world indians or the 9/11 hijackers. Once they become persuaded that their supposedly omnipotent ego extension will reward them for something, whether killing or lying and trolling, they keep going feverishly, even more so if it's a self-flagellating closet case like Forthood. Every time he trolls the gays, his imaginary friend forgives him for blowing another teamster in a Reseda truck stop toilet. (BTW, now that Forthood's old enough to be losing teeth, his gums are getting a good reputation among some of the older teamsters.)

I would like to know though if the "College" that terrified him with a fake history of Rome is getting government money for that BS.

i can't come up with any explanation for gayness which fits with evolution....

That's because most "nature" programs on TV depend on government funding and have been deliberately censored to avoid controversy; if you read instead of watch, you can see a lot more. One clue that might help you figure it out: around the world, the most consistent predictor of male homosexuality is birth order; for every son a woman has, the probability of the next son being gay increases by 1/3. It may have the effect of moderating Malthusian boom-and-bust cycles in population, as well as reducing the risk of violent conflict over scarce resources (in this instance, attractive females). Also consider the stereotypical childless uncles and godparents who give gifts: in the modern era of plenty, these gifts are merely surplus, but back when humans were barely surviving, they could mean the difference between life and death. If you limit your view of evolution to "the next generation," then you are putting blinders on that nature does not; evolutionary time scales work at the level of the "nth generation," i.e. the grandchildrens' grandchildren and later generations yet unborn. A species with too short a strategy would never have got this far, which is consistent with the fact that all the species nearly related to us (and even quite distant relatives like penguins) include homosexuality.

That.

Makes me wonder if lesbianism follows the same trend as the males. Or is that just something that happens in college?

Seriously though it makes sense. A family with childless relatives who help in the raising of their siblings offspring are indirectly propagating their genes. That kid is far more likely to grow up and find a non-closely related mate if uncle willy helps out and leaves a fortune to inherent. If Willy were to have a kid instead of a fortune that kid could compete for resources which could in turn result in neither living to reproduce. If the cousins are opposite genders that could lead to a different set of problems altogether.

The irony being all three trace their spiritual linage (if not their actual lineage) to Abraham... this 4,000 year old feud is sibling rivalry at its best (or rather, worst)

STD's mostly come from promiscuity and homosexuals. Things that are too wrong to say in this PC culture.

That's not really true. That's like some kind of wild speculation with no basis.
