Yup, they nailed this one - damn glad that neither myself nor my kids are in school any more.

1 + 1 does NOT equal 2. It equals multi-multiculturalism.

Like someone commented, this is closer to a documentary than a dystopia. A stern warning and the best reason why you must never vote for the leftoid progressive hivemind.

But mell - so often when I read your comments they seem to left wing, seriously.

That's stems from the libertarian, small government stance. I'm socially liberal as long as you don't indoctrinate people with lies. There is a big difference between being liberal and progressive leftist (the dems are the latter, independents and libertarians the former). Throughout patriarchy and Christian religious dominance for the most part (with the exceptions of the inquisition/dark ages, slavery and a few political madmen) people who were different in cultural or religious ways have been mostly left alone and been tolerated. Today you can go to the Vatican and either enjoy prayers or "live in sin" in one of the many night-clubs of Rome. I don't want to change that. Also as I have mentioned before, in some ways the US has become more socialist than many European countries and people often confuse grass-roots democracy such as in Switzerland with socialism. Again, with a few exceptions people have mostly been able to govern themselves throughout history and have common sense prevail (for example most people in Europe don't want the flood of immigrants and the politicians simply try to forcefully oppress the people's views). The majority of people actually reject the SJW and feminazi wave, but many have become afraid of voicing their opinions because it is the politicians and people in power who have been fanning the flames of intolerance and hatred towards straight white males, patriarchy, christianity and common sense by abusing their power much more so than those "enabled" pawns at the universities protesting who would be nothing without their enablers. It's the old divide and conquer scheme. We don't and we shouldn't agree on everything, but we must be able to recognize and single out fascist/cultural-marxists (same difference) movements and stop them in their tracks.

Funny, the video has chaacters that think their fact free opinions have value.

Just like those commenting in this thread that think this video represents anything having to do with modern public education.

I'm just as disturbed by the bizzare safe spaces and trigger warnings bullshit going on at college campuses today as anyone. It has little to do with what's going on at public elementary and secondary schools.

But guess what, I might agree that you can actually place some blame at Obama's feet for the nonsense going on at college campuses. If you want to understand it, it will take you about 10 or 12 minutes. Interesting stuff.

Start listening at 20:05 or so.

Really? Granted it's a bit of an exaggeration, but only a bit. College is a free speech zone, unless what your saying conflicts the liberal mantra of 'white privilege', 'black lives matter', 'micro-triggers', 'rape zone', sexual bigotry and a myriad of other nonsense clichés. In grade school and high school some of the above is being pumped but before we can shove the higher level stuff down their throats we need to make sure they are dyed-in-the-wool with recycling, global warming, gender and sexual neutral. Math and English, maybe or maybe not, but cops are bad and drugs are okay - make sure you have that down.

You would be surprised to know how similar the typical middle class high school is today, to what it was 40 years ago, and I'm speaking from experience. Actually they're better today, with far more pressure to perform. At the low socioeconomic end,, yes schools are rough, but that's primarily because they can't overcome the problems of factors such as attendance, gangs, dysfunctional families, nutrition, etc.

Sure many teachers are somewhat liberal. They might believe in global warming or that women deserve equal treatment, but nothing particularly out of line from what most educated conservatives think. The idea that America's public schools are indoctrinating kids to a left wing view point beyond what they would get from the corporate owned media is total horseshit. It's avoiding reality and common sense almost as much as the silly characters in the video.

But then I know, that's what the propaganda tells you. And you aren't there. Not only are schools pretty decent, but the kids are for the most part good, they too are not much different than they were several decades ago.

What is an education but a long running trivial pursuit?
Every now and then they stop and rephrase the questions, to suit social objectives. but it's all a trivial pursuit game the civil obedience edition.

Education, Money and Politics goes hand in hand. There's hardly room for pupil cognitive betterment.
