Nurture has many meanings as well. I vowed not to physically abuse my kids after my dad and kids include the nephew. I am extremely harsh though with words and making them get their shit done though. When I bark stuff gets done. Once it's done they'll hang with me for 1-2 hours straight. I'm not their friend yet, but I don't want them to resent me at a young age.

With kids you also need to make sure they hang out with other solid kids. Not always easy. I try to meet the parents or the wife does and chat for a half hour. NEVER do the drop off and go for a hang out or sleep over with kids.

I'm going to be a bit hyperbolic (maybe) but most adults were molested at some point. I'd guess 60%. They get a nice piece of chocolate in their house I'm extremely apprehensive with who is watching my nephew. My oldest white kid is tough and won't put up with shit and it already bigger than most the dads. Youngest I worry a bit. His friends are kind of off.

I'm fortunate with time and money. Part time work when they're at school but mostly a stay at home dad. Didn't envision it when I was younger, but wouldn't change it now. Life was miserable working a 8am-10pm job in real estate. It never stopped.

Back to the comment though. Blacks need a dad or father figure. Money helps, my nephew would be totally fine if we made 1/4 of what we do, basically national median family income. Life isn't perfect, I got lucky and so did my nephew. So did I in hindsight. Life is weird, but everyone needs a father or father figure in their life or they're screwed most the time.

Generally women lack in meaningful discipline if a kid is acting out. Some outliers. My wife being one. My FIL had 5 daughters total. If they were acting a fool he'd flip the main breaker on the electric and turn off all power. Some might find that crazy, but if your kids are acting like dip shits it is effective. Miss that guy as he became more of dad to me. You need a good dad.

In this century, the Test Score Gap has dominated much of the tenor of the times. Up through about 2012 was the Educational Reform Era when billionaires were sure they had found various One Weird Tricks to eliminate test score gaps. For a dozen years, we were this close to being able to boost black test scores by a standard deviation while not allowing white test scores to go up at all. (I used to ask: wouldn’t it be more feasible to try to boost everybody’s test scores by half a standard deviation? But improving education for all races seemed kind of racist, so nobody else ever said that.)

But, eventually, it became obvious that blacks were not going to make a great leap forward. So then we entered the Great Awokening when elites devoted their energies to blood libeling whites for the failure of blacks to close The Gap.

But, eventually, that proved not just empirically disastrous, but awfully tiresome.

So, now we are in a new era when the Trump Administration is heavily emphasizing the 14th Amendment’s “equal protections of the law” and dropping anti-white discriminatory policies that have been in place for half a century or more.

The liberal Establishment, at present, is flummoxed. They don’t know how to respond other than scream “Racist,” which at the moment seems awfully tired. (If Trump blows up the economy or gets us into a stupid war or something, that could change, of course.) They could try blaming it on 1619 some more, but it’s now 2025 and they’ve mostly been in charge of racial questions for the last 60 years with strikingly little progress over the last 40 or 50 years to show for it. And when they got total control during the recent Racial Reckoning, they screwed up massively.

The real reason for racial preferences — African-Americans objectively need them to succeed in elite institutions at anywhere close to their share of the population, and that doesn’t appear likely to change short of The Singularity or genetic engineering or some other sci-fi development — is off-limits. It’s racist to know that.

So, the mainstream media seems currently stumped by how to argue in favor of quotas.

Makes sense. My nephew would be a loser without me to be blunt. When he was living with my MIL and SIL (in mom's house) he'd miss the bus weekly. I'm like what the fuck? How is that happening. Two grown females can't get a child to the bus??

I will say genetics is a thing. Not racist, but blacks are lazy as can be. My nephew is the last one out the door for everything. Last one out this morning. He's never missed the bus under our roof or not been ready. But I'm also an ass hole.

There needs to be a man involved. Problem is today most black men were raised by their mom's. So black men from the 80's-90's are not competent men, if they're even around because of having a single mother that couldn't provide. I screwed around in my teens, but my dad would beat the shit out of me. My mom wouldn't do that. Didn't like it, but it taught me there can be consequences to your actions. I sorta predicted in my 30's that "low-cost country" jobs would be exported to the African continent by 2000. (I'm a baby boomer.) However, the rise of the Chinese market (which was largely driven by American companies) led to massive Chinese growth, accompanied by significant American job losses and heavy industry declines.

Trump is trying to turn this around quickly, but it will take more than four years. Thankfully, the Dems are in shambles, broke, and leaderless. JD Vance in 2028 and Rubio in 2032 would be 12-16 years of change. I hope it's enough, but there will never be another Donald Trump.

Makes sense but consider the environmental issue. In Africa, folks can live in thatched huts and gather food locally. Locals thus have a cultural aversion to a Western style workday. In China, poverty means starvation, so they have a ready supply of slave level workers.

They find the US population is split up into reasonably distinct racial groups, with, of course, also a lot of people who don’t fit well in just one race. The authors write:
