I recently saw one of the most beautiful and touching movies ever made, A Boy and His Dog, a story about a boy and his canine companion trying to survive day-to-day in a post-Apocalyptic hellscape straight out of the Fallout series. The boy and the dog talk telepathically to steal from raiders, sniff out women to rape, and avoid "screamers" which seem to be what Fallout calls glowing ones.
The ending is one of the most beautiful scenes ever written as the boy, who had taken the dog for granted, makes a heartwarming sacrifice for the dog. I'm not ashamed to admit it, but I shed a tear during that scene. This movie should be required watching for everybody.
