Price, who works out of the O’Neill office, was on patrol just south of the South Dakota state line on Highway 281 when he saw a “weird-looking sports car†drive by.
“I didn’t know it was wooden at the time,†he said. “It didn’t have a front plate so I turned around and stopped it. When I went up to it, I saw it was licensed in North Dakota. Then I realized ‘Hey, this is a wood car!’ â€
So a cop pulls over a civilian just to satisfy his curiosity. What would happen if a civilian do that to a cop?
"The car, built on the frame of a 1985 Pontiac Fiero"
Oh dear, the wrong material to use, considering those things were going up in flames right and left due to the horrible mid-engine design (GM's worst era) that didn't allow for enough oil in the engine and the four-cylinder with a 4.11 axle ratio would throw a rod through the crankcase and spill oil onto the hot exhaust! Poof! After the smoke cleared, the only thing left was the aluminum space frame. I don't know what other engine could be jerry-rigged into the chassis, but I wouldn't want to drive it, beautiful or not.

Actually, it was only the 1984 Fieros that caught fire in any significant numbers.

He was pulled over for no front plate.

And yet the article says there is nothing illegal about that. The vast majority of cars don't have license plates on the front. Sounds like an excuse. There's a weird looking car. I want to check it out. Hmm, what excuse do I have. Oh, no front plate. Of course, that's not an offense, but hey, sounds good.

It is for a vehicle registered in Nebraska. Once he knew that it wasn't a Nebraskean plate, he didn't issue a ticket.

Does anyone believe the cop would not have pulled over the vehicle if it had a front-plate? And if so, do you agree that it would be wrong for the cop to pull over the vehicle if it had a font-plate? Because the issue really is whether or not the police should be able to arbitrarily stop vehicles.
Okay, so only the body is made out of wood, cedar to be exact, but dang, it's beautiful.
Reminds me of this classic parody Ad

No, we just surprised he didn't eat driver's face after raping him it the ass with his duty weapon.
