They represent a good fraction of muslims that includes Saudis, a number of Jihadi groups (Al Qeada, Al Shabaab, Boko Haram etc...), and many people in every country that they inspire and fund. This includes the salafist movement that spreads like crazy in Europe at the moment.
They have the purest interpretation, i.e. a quasi literal one.

The issue is one of tribalism rather than just beliefs. Tribalism entails beliefs.
