Hundreds of Dollars a month for $25 Generic Rx copays, $2000 deductibles, etc.
I have a client in Michigan who is an independent contractor in the construction business.
His "silver" Obamacare plan now costs him $7,200 per year in premiums (12 monthly payments), and he gets no coverage for doctors appointments (except a few preventative ones such as basic physicals), prescriptions, procedures or surgeries, or other costs, until he pays at least $6,000 in cash out-of-pocket - this is just for him and his wife.
He and his wife had a private Blue Cross Plan as recently as 2011 (I believe) that cost approximately $340 per month, and essentially covered 80% of doctors visits, 90% to 100% (depending) of necessary hospitalization costs, 90% to 100% of emergency care, and his generic Rxs were $8 and branded prescriptions no more than $30 (at most, typically much less).
OBAMACARE IS A FUCKING DISASTER.
