Mass Islamic immigration was the turning point.
The individual countries of Europe want the right to enforce their borders and to have some say in the future character of their own countries.

Not to mention relatively few northern, creditor EU Member States are subsidizing deeply indebted, hopelessly broken southern EU Member States.
Even France is in serious economic trouble now, the extent to which few in the U.S. realize, and before too long, Germany & some really small northern members are going to be carrying the entire debt/deficit load for Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece...and eventually, France.
This will happen and come to an unsustainable situation when bond yields spike, which is not far away.

France has runoff (second-round) elections.
Marine Le Pen's chances may not be as good as Trump's. Still, it definitely can happen.
Can anyone name the one argument that the Press won't use for LePen, but did for Segolene Royale a few years back?
Immigration can only be successful if implemented via assimilation.
If you want to be a citizen of XYZ, you need to convert to the traditions of XYZ.
Anything short of this is just a long term trojan horse invasion...

NATO better stay together or the russkies are in position to start picking off former client states...
It's all falling apart. The European Union is crumbling in real time (rightfully so).
Looks for Frexit, then Italexit, then further disintegration of the flawed at inception EU experiment.
