Are you this dim? Do you really not see the point?
Can you not see the point? You can't point to a handful of wealthy white guys and say therefore they represent all whites, and therefore it's okay to use "White Male" as a blanket phrase for Executives. Just like Kareem Abdul-Jubar, Don King, and Kayne don't represent all Black guys.
So, white males have fared best by being hurt the least as a group.
No, don't agree. Those already wealthy got immensely wealthier. Some of those who were comfortable became wealthy. The other 80% is either the same or worse off, some substantially so. Whites numerically are about 2/3 of the population. There are many more poor whites than all blacks combined.
Imagine if any party hack of any political party said "We don't need more (INSERT ANY NON-WHITE, NON-MALE, NON-HETERO IDENTITY HERE) people leading the (WHATEVER) party."
Yet this is just a page 2 type story. Had it been Rince Preibus who said "We don't need more (Hispanic lesbian) people leading Republican Party", just imagine the outrage, it would dominate multiple news cycles and be hailed as evidence of the wickedness of Conservatives and Whites Generally.
Jojo - I hope all of these responses can have a positive impact on your thinking regarding identity politics. The left wing media have poisoned the minds of so many into promoting segregation and divisiveness while claiming to resolve the very problem they propagate. It's a business for them. It creates hate and allegiance to their political agenda to gain votes by subtly aligning "minorities" into the concept of being victims when in fact it's all an illusion. Don't be weak-minded and fall victim to this toxic Jedi mind trick.
I'd like to add that the right has their own mind tricks for the weak-minded, but that's not the topic at hand here.
