Hard to know. The economy is doing ok now.
I think Trump is too lazy to do anything and will let the establishment republicans do what they want.
But then... who knows.
I've been wondering the same thing. We're due for a recession at least from a timeline perspective, and new presidents usually suffer from a recession soon after they're elected. We also have a rising interest rate environment. Even though the market has been rising since Trump got elected, I can't help but think it's going to reverse and get bad.

There's something wrong with your economic system when recessions have to come in regular cycles.

Recessions are the time when the losses get paid for by the taxpayers and by the working class. That's why we have to have recessions, so socialize the losses after the top 0.1% have gotten most of the profits.
Another factor is that Trump is so polarizing and perceived to be anti-establishment, so I can't help but think that the "powers that be" will force a hideous recession upon us.
Now that Trump is going to be president, what do you think is going to happen to the economy, the stock market, the housing market, and the job market?
What are your economic predictions, politics aside?
I'll get us started. I think the stock market is going to get spooked. Investors don't like uncertainty, and Trump is highly unpredictable.
