It's not going back to the way it was, no matter what happens. What Trump needs to do is immediately start dividing and conquering his foes by doing deals with one part of their coalition but not the other. For example, making Boeing, Lockheed, and Bath Works very happy with some needed big purchases and a Mars Prep Program. Make the MIC happy, but do nothing for Intelligence and the intel contractors. Make Big Oil happy.
