I want to talk about the Krauts.

It's not a coincidence that German culture spawned both the Nazi's AND is at the center of today's PC culture. As a society, virtue signalling is far more important than individual liberty to them. Righteousness is more important than truth. It was a recipe for fascism in the 30's, just like today.

For the record, my grandmother is a german immigrant. My baddass polish grampa knocked her up in Germany right after ww2. She came to ellis island holding my infant mother, and started her new american life in detroit, back in 1948. I still have Opa's nazi paraphernalia, pictures, etc... We even have his fucking journal.

Germans in WW2 were drunk on their own righteousness while acting out violence for the 3rd Reich. Who does that sound like?...

"Steve Bannon is just Ariana Huffington with a few extra successful career paths on his resume. They both run biased, divisive click bait rags. Is Ariana Huffington also evil?"

Running the click bait rag isn't what makes him evil.

So what does make him evil in your opinion?

THe idea that righteousness causes Naziism is absurd.

Righteousness is not a sufficient condition. It is a necessary condition for group evil behavior on another group.

Show me a historical example where righteousness was not a core motivating factor in delusional group evil...

Every war, every genocide, racist oppression, the inquisition... you find righteousness at the core of each one. Show me where I'm wrong

I think Planned Parenthood bombers and doctor murderers might be an example of right wing righteousness taken to its extreme. Really don't hear all that much condemnation for such acts from the dominionist Mike Pence types.

It's that some members of the crowd are rabidly righteous and the others start to go along to signal that they are "good" too. Eventually that whole damn crowd is ready to viciously turn on anyone who is not giving off the correct PC signals.

And then they start one upping each other with demonstrations of righteous rhetoric.

Perfect Recent Example:
The Daily Californian, the Student Newspaper of Berkeley. The writers one up each other in successive articles.

http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/07/berkeley-student-paper-publishes-columns-praising-anti-milo-riot/

Each successive article praises Antifa more highly, calls people who opposed antifa violence "Unaware of their Privilege", insists the violence was a righteous pre-emptive strike, cutting off violence from "Radicalized White Males" at the pass. Kind of like Bush's claims about Iraq.

In fact, condemning the violence makes you one of the un-righteous:

And words are violence - which has been hinted at by our own posters: "Words Inspire Deeds therefore no anonymity, consequences for Free Speech".

67   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Feb 8, 9:40am

Our own @Rashomon agrees, since he thinks Words lead to Deeds, therefore Speech should never be anonymous and have consequences.

The Rioters believed that since words lead to deeds, and Milo's words would lead to "White Supremacist Violence", they were justified in a pre-emptive violent strike to stop his words becoming violent deeds.

There's a psychological term for this I can't remember, but it's a helluva great excuse. "Punch Nazis". Who is a Nazi? Do they wear the SS Uniform? Or is it somebody you don't agree with?

This is a perfect example of righteousness gone awry. I hope no one would defend or encourage this violence, including pence

Well done summary of the madness. Thanks

YW.

Here is a list of the Op-Eds at the Californian UC Berkeley Newspaper:

Each one is violence apologetica. This is the face of the Left, which has abandoned much of Liberalism.

71   CBOEtrader   2017 Feb 8, 10:48am

Wow, just wow. This is the most toxic righteousness i've ever seen in the US
