My great grandfather came here from Northern Ireland. He was "vetted" and had to go back because he was 13. He came back when he was 14 and stayed.
I dont know what type of vetting is required, but when we vet, we had better insure that we dont let people in who want to kill us.
Everybody I saw something inspirational in church yesterday. Joao and Djenane Santos have a friend of 24 years named Kim. He came to this country from Brasil. He worked his way through Green Card to naturalized US citizen. He brought his two daughters to church. They had just got their Green Cards and were happy to be in the USA and proud of this country. With all of this political fighting and pessimism going around, it's wonderful to see people who still love this country and have faith in it.
