Trumps abdication of our role in a technological or global political solution will do more for China's economy and prowess in the world than anything Trump does for the US. His slashing of science programs will do more to harm our strength (comes from military technology and wealth) than any money he throws at stockpiling equipment could do to strengthen it.

China has been beating us in developing and manufacturing energy technology. They've had the foresight to subsidize alt energy development more than we have. Subsidizing alt energy is anathema to Republicans, so Obama was limited in what he could do. Trump has shown us that he is right there with the rest of the Republicans in shooting ourselves in the face.

I'm glad to see that you agree with Hillary on this issue, and realize that Trump conned WV. I don't think Trump believes that we will have a coal renaissance. If rolling back the regs doesn't work, he can blame it on somebody else.
