I got life insurance because my wife wanted it and it seemed reasonable to do. However, when I suggested she get life insurance, she was grossly insulted and said 'absolutely not' like I was a monster for even suggesting it.

A man will protect a woman with life insurance, but the thought that the man would protect himself with life insurance on her is an insult. Boundaries and rules for both parties are critical, especially if your daughter is attractive.
