Everybody knows that Trump is mis-characterizing the meetings, and that Comey's version will be the correct one. We are in fact waiting for 'the truth' to be leaked. Trump is just trying to plant the seeds of doubt by implying that Comey is going to be the one spreading bullshit. It's laughable, really. Trump is the one sweating balls over what "tapes" are out there floating over his head.
The Nixon comparisons break down quickly, though. He was smart as a whip, an incredible talker, and passed a lot of social policy.
