Hear them complain that inflation is too low and requires a lot of asset pumping measures.

While at the same time they keep warning you that protectionism would mostly mean higher prices.

That's the whole point: if you weren't destroying prices, you would have inflation.

Yes! we have inflation now, but if you have a government and Fed that sweeps inflation under the rug and cuts checks for loses.
Then we get stuck in a rut where the same assholes are preordained to be rich, stay rich and never fail.

I saw an article the other day where a sting was set up to catch unlicensed contractors they caught 9 of them. All white guys older than 50 that were around when we used to build shit. These 9 guys are probably 9 of the last guys left in America that can build you a house that isn't going to leak, and fall to shit within Ten years.
In every state and every City bad actors has lobbied to make Construction and home remodeling business of anything from pouring foundations to laying carpet. Something that is highly burdened with regulatory fees and insurance. That they only way you can afford to be in compliance is if you own the only work shop in your whole county and you hire illegal Aliens or Immigrants that live 10 adults in one house. They get every contract in their town and how dare those 9 Guys attempt to do Jobs the Liberals have determined "White People wont do!".

It's what drove me out of the flooring business I saw the writing on the wall. I didn't want to run a Cha Cha Sweat shop so I learned to code and got the fuck out.
My friends in the trade still struggle.
