BTW, this is why you never apologize. No matter what, he'll be asked every few months to denounce racism. And when he does YET AGAIN, the same inquisitors then suggest it's either not blanket enough or that it's not from the heart (apparently they are mind reader).

Whereas with the Golden Child, any condemnation of racism was held as the Golden Wisdom from the Oracle.

No no ... look at his remarks carefully the day of:

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides.”
“We must love each other, respect each other and cherish our history.”

That cherish our history part ... that's the statue for those paying attention at home.

Do you need a translation? His aides pushed him to do this 2nd statement. He is saying that he did something he didn't want to do, and look, people still aren't happy.

The President's instinct wasn't compassion for the attack and denouncing the racially motivated violence, it was all self driven. He wanted to protect those he knows are with him. 34% and falling.
