Usually pit bills, also presa canario, yet there are hardly any calls to restrict dog licenses:

Mike Hagar was walking his dog in the 1900 block of East 27th Street when a pit bull attacked him and his dog, according to police.

According to police, Hagar was able to retrieve a handgun and shot the pit bull to death. Hagar sustained bite marks on his arm."

The 2nd Amendment protects the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. There is no Constitutional right to harbor dangerous animals.

Guns don't kill people. Pit bulls kill people.

"A toddler mauled by her family dog last week has died, according to authorities.

The child and her mother were playing in the yard of their Rocky Mount home when their 6-year-old pit bull attacked the child.

The mother called 911, pleading for help.

“I need some help. My dog is attacking my daughter. Hurry, she's dying. Please hurry,” the mother told a dispatcher, according to the 911 recording.

The dispatcher told the mother to pry open the dog's mouth, hit the dog on the head with a heavy object and use a knife to slit the dog's throat.

The mother did all that and tried to stab the dog as well, but it wouldn't release the girl, according to authorities.

When deputies arrived, the dog was still slinging the child around in its mouth.

A deputy shot the dog, but it didn't stop so the deputy had to shoot it twice. The dog then died.

The child was first taken to a local hospital, airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville and transported again to UNC Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill."

"A 28-year-old Rockville, Md., woman was walking her dog Addie when she was besieged by five pit-bull mixed-breed dogs, who tore at Addie’s abdomen before turning on her owner, Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

The woman fled to a neighbor’s porch and stayed there to call police. Cops arrived to find her bleeding from her leg and [her dog] bleeding from her stomach.

As they spoke, three of the dogs were out in the yard in front of the porch. One suddenly ran at the porch, and the others followed, launching a second attack, cops said.. The woman and her dog were bitten again before police were able to contain the loose dogs.

Animal services seized the five dogs, which have all been declared “dangerous,” police said."

"A pit bull and boxer mix attacked a 76-year-old pizza delivery man in Palm Coast Thursday evening, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the victim, who works for Napoli Pizza, was delivering an order to a home on Perkins Lane around 6 p.m. and when the customer opened the door, the 5-year-old pit bull-boxer mix squeezed through her legs and jumped on the victim.

Body camera video showed the man had blood dripping down the right side of his face when authorities arrived.

The victim was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach for treatment.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly warned pet owners to stay cautious.

"With Halloween approaching, if you think your pet could be spooked or become aggressive, please secure your pet before opening the door," he said."

"A high school student in New Jersey is recovering from serious puncture wounds after being attacked by a pit bull.

Authorities say the dog broke off its leash and charged at the young man while he was walking down the street in Jersey City around 7 p.m. on October 10.

Fifteen-year-old Derrick Holley, Jr., said he was walking home along Corbin Avenue after an evening playing basketball with friends when out of nowhere and without warning, the pit bull attacked."

"A 12-year-old girl suffered 49 puncture wounds when she was attacked this week by a pit bull in the family’s eastern North Carolina yard, the child’s mother told TV station WTVD.
