The cynics & snarkers here won't like it, but it's a helluva stunt. Great publicity for musk companies and frankly if u read the story, it makes me feel inspired and optimistic about the future of mankind beyond our home planet.

Crash in a few million years? I would bet it will be captured and placed in a museum long before then. The crew of the first spacecraft that catches up with the Tesla will likely takes turns posing in the Tesla's driver's seat for space selfies.
