Um what about black men? The article points out: "Most gun violence in the US disproportionately affects black communities. In 2016 (the latest full year for which data is available), for example, more than 52 percent of murder victims (73 percent of whom were killed by guns) were black, even though black people only make up about 13 percent of the general population."

And yet, the article makes no mention that black men are 9 times more likely to be the victim of murder in chicago.

This is pure feelgood nonsense. If they cared about gun violence they would point out that black men are both the largest perpetrators and victims, then ask what we can do to change the violence within the black community.

Blaming white people and pretending that this is a women's issue are both distractions from reality.

Far higher percentage of AA's die of gun violence in cities where gun ownership is outlawed than AA's living in small towns where gun ownership is legal.

When guns are outlawed, only the outlaws have guns!

That simple fact applies to AA's too.

NPR was playing a clip of a guy telling the marchers "you guys will chant about no more guns but where were all of you when we were chanting BLM".

This is what really bothers me:
Black men commit more crimes....it's because of the discrimination they face.
Black men are victims of gun violence, because of the discrimination they face.
Black men kill more, because of the discrimination they face.

There is more to this than just racism and discrimination and poverty.
Everyone admits Blacks commit more violence, crime, and gun violence than any other group in America. My question is......how do we as a country fix this?
Directly or indirectly, violence by Blacks affects us all. We really need to fix this.
