The Trend Ain't Your Friend.

That chart is 5 years old. Here's a more pertinent one:

I think the trend over the last few years is pretty clear. (blue line is support for stricter gun control) And it's not your friend.

And in all many areas of the country that aren't Urban Heavily Blue districts, Democrats lose, lose, lose, on Gun Control. There isn't a campaign adviser anywhere that recommends Democrats campaign on Gun Control, because its a losing issue for them. From Chuck Schumer to Chris Murphy, Democrat bigwigs are urging candidates to avoid the Gun Control issue like the plague in the Midterms.

November is a long way off. And even CNN can't keep beating the Gun Control drum for 7-8 months straight.

Not anymore. It's a losing issue in very rural areas, for certain. But in the suburbs where the Dems are going flip a lot of seats in Nov., it is absolutely a winning issue. Commercials of Republican politicians and talking heads mocking high school kids who survived a school shooting will be big wins.

The NRA has a -15% favorability rating. It's too bad Rubio isn't up for election this year--he would be hammered with that.

Giving money to a candidate in return for a guarantee that he/she will vote in the way you tell them to.

Like Hilary?

You're flat out wrong. A well regulated militia is ONE USE of the right to bear arms, but the right is absolute and not tied to the militia.

Militia originally meant able bodied men. Militia now is likened to white supremists.
Which militia do you want to arm?

I think one very inexpensive way to bolster the national defense is to have the Federal Government subsidize AR-15 and 5.56mm ammo purchases with a tax credit via some CMP program. And maybe set up ranges in National Guard Armories free of charge with full time coaches.

UPDATE: It wasn't all pork. Some of it is common sense Defense Appropriations.
Army mandated to turn over surplus M1911 pistols to CMP Program.

There’s much more support for Cannabis than Guns in this country, and it’s quite obvious that the gun nuts don’t give a shit about We The People or the Constitution, by letting gun owners who need medical cannabis out to hang. I can see the potential for backlash against these assholes in the coming voting cycles.

Oh Cannabis,
Glorious and Free
Oh Cannabis,
We get so high on thee

Cannabis will heal the world, double the GDP, and usher in the Singularity.

I'm totally in favor of legalized Federal Marijuana... great protection against Gun Grabber Lefties.

And then all will be well and the usa will be a safe wonderful place where you can walk around safely at night and leave your doors unlocked!
