Have an intelligent comment on another, non-bitcoin/crypto thread and make me eat my words.

Or an intelligent answer to crypto questions?

By thinking about and answering some of the questions posed to you, you can prove that your more than the apparent crypto fanboi idiot.

At some point onvacation will follow suit and also admit he bought crypto

Knowing my beliefs about crypto, why would I buy it? I'm not a gambler.

Can you answer the questions posed to you?

Newbie123 says
He just confirmed above he bought.

Jesus. Reading. In this thread and another I've said I've bought it (probably many other times as well). I WAS a fool and then I researched and got out, quickly. I think I HAD some bitcoin for a week.

Failing to admit past mistakes will only mean you'll keep making them. There's a lot of stupid things I've done and I'm not a coward like some to admit it. I've also seen a lot of stupid things people do personally with crypto and lose their shit. You don't know what you're doing, even if you're pretending to be holding some.

You mean gambling.
Are you going to answer any questions?

You bought and sold at a loss....

Nope. Assumptions will put you in bad places. It seems they already have.

I've learned more than you have little boy. Good thing is my wins far outnumber my mistakes. Your mom get the meatloaf ready for you yet?

making a killing with bitcoin.

So how much have you made?

How much do you dollar cost average into crypto and how often?

What percentage of your income goes into crypto?

What range of percentage (cryptos fluctuate wildly) of your net worth is in crypto?

What is the real (intrinsic) value of crypto?

You would gain credibility if you would answer any of these questions.

No wonder you get so easily angered and hate when the price goes up. It’s like an ego thing for you. You need it to fail because you failed.

BOYS!
Stick to the topic and lay off the personal stuff.
139   WookieMan   2019 Jun 29, 12:00pm

Screenshot of ANYTHING you've purchased in the crypto world. This isn't a big ask. Black out your name or account. Easy stuff.

Sorry. He's only commented on two threads I believe. He's spamming and not adding anything to any other topic. It's annoying and pushes intelligent people away from the site. And what's being presented is frankly dangerous, but whatever. I can say I'm thinking about moving on and he predictably will ignore the words in the sentence.

Cool.
Are you gonna answer any questions about your investment strategy and reasoning? Or just post photos of the moon and attack other users?
143   just_passing_through   2019 Jun 29, 10:09pm

Yeah, this very young dude should post some screen shots if he wants any cred.

I don't own any gold I just like to see his reaction. TL;DR but I do skim. I keep seeing 'fomo' go by. I think THAT is why he's so gung ho on bitcoin right now. Projecting.

Guys like me who are nearly a multimillionaire, 40s and still bang hot early 30s here in San Diefuckingeggo don't get fomo from guys like you. From what I see posted on here by other guys who don't seem to be to eager to impress is that I'm the poor-man. I seriously doubt any of them has fomo. So you're projecting.

Other option: No different than some yahoo stock message board corntrollio.

You won’t have to call it a pump and dump. On the other hand you are probably not going to pull a 20x like me with bitcoin.

I'll gladly take my $10k a day revenue from my business. That I don't have to do anything for. You're a math whiz and crypto numbers guy and can figure out margins on what I make. I do far better daily than I'd ever do with bitcoin (aka you).

I checked it out (it was a pain), made a tiny amount (I think like $300, killed the account otherwise I'd post a screenshot) and researched it more and learned I'd get fucked if I got into it more. I lost nothing. If anything it was a hard decision because of the tiny gain thinking maybe I could trade this crap, but the risk wasn't worth it for someone that doesn't need the risk. I have security. This was in '17, so long time ago at this point.

You've got to understand that 99.9% of planet can make money other ways. Some of them can make a lot of money. They can do this all without worrying on Sunday night if a market crashes they'll lose a bunch of their wealth. Or that the US gov could secretly get in the business of mining BTC and make it go to zero in probably 30 days time (or many other governments). Trade away, but I know you're going around site to site and posting links/videos thinking it will make a difference because you're holding coins from the $19k peak.

What what be a reason to post a screenshot?

Yeah, and your “I am a millionaire” is just cheap trash to me, it doesn’t take anything to do. Any moron can post that stuff. Who are you trying to impress?

I am traveling for the 4th of July. How about this. You post a screen shot proving how you're going to be rich. When I get back I'll look up the hard copy of my net worth the last mortgage broker I worked with created. They under shot by quite a bit but it'll be plenty. I'll obviously mask any personally identifiable information but will take a picture alongside a patnet bumper sticker I have.

But I know you won't do it...
150   just_passing_through   2019 Jun 30, 8:42pm

Newbie123 says
You cant have fear of missing out if you are already invested in it.

Your fomo is WHY you're invested in it. Yet you're insecure and post on here looking for validation. Subconsciously you're scared you're going to lose it all again. Just. Like. Last time.

I remember when my co-worker millenials were doing this shit last time. It started to go down. I asked a few of them about it.

"Oh it does this every year this time of the season"

"Oh it's just due to Chinese NY"

"Trust us, we know what we're doing. We're experts"

Their faces when through the typical steps of loss until recently. Denial, rage, acceptance. All that shit. You're no different.
151   just_passing_through   2019 Jun 30, 8:48pm

Anyone around here remember what happened to gold during the 2008 crash? It went DOWN although it did go back up. It went down because people holding it had to sell to pay off other obligations/bad bets.

I wouldn't think crypto would be any different.

I'm mostly in cash and real estate right now waiting to get deals in the next crash. I think it's already started and is being forced by pensions. Those assholes need 7.5% returns and have moved into risky assets to get it. Not to mention all of the other potential triggers. The stock market IS pension funds (and buy backs) right now. That crash and quick turn around last December: driven by pension funds.

The way the buy/sell works for pension funds isn't like typical ETFs or manage equities. The former is like an electrical circuit, 100% on or off, where the later is more like plumbing with valves that manage the pressure better, people are trained to 'start taking profits', etc.,.

jd - what are you doing? Giving a basic reason why you're investing in a certain way? That's not what this thread is for. It's for random links from crap sources, FOMO, parabola's and don't forget the moon.

Newbie123 says
just protect your investment with a stop loss

Thank you Einstein for basic 8th grade information. Using words and phrases that you think "make" you look smart, actually don't. I've explained what a stop loss is to my 8 year old and he probably understands it more than you.

You've been directly confronted by I think 3-4 users now asking you to prove what you do. Put up or shut up at this point. You turtle and deflect to something else every time someone asks you. I expect no less this time. It's also okay to admit you lied about your investment and just move on. No one will think any less of you than they already do.

Crypto is currency of uncertain value that requires a fee if you want to exchange it for goods or services.

Yup. And therein lies the fatal flaw. It's failing at its intended purpose on a level never before seen. People are "investing" in a failed experiment and they just don't know it yet. It's scary and kind of funny at the same time.

Unfortunately it's wasting WAY too much capital on crap instead of productive things. When the dust settles on this period, the money is just gone. Could have gone to things that did something for anybody. Sort of sad.

Guys, What’s the difference between Bitcoin and NASA?

What's the difference between you and helmut: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TROV/community?p=TROV
159   WookieMan   2019 Jul 2, 7:00am

One creates tons of productive jobs that create new technology that benefits society as a whole for the most part. Those employees then spend money and help make other people money and successful. You know what they do and who does it. The person in charge. You know what their budget is. You know where it's located. You can actually go watch a launch. See physical productivity in action.

The other is taking money and flushing it down a toilet....

Not sure where you're going with this, but NASA has created FAR more wealth and production that have improved people's lives. It's one of the most successful government programs in the history of the world in advancing technology. It's not perfect, but has done exponentially more good than bitcoin. Bitcoin is a game played by a few rich guys that are screwing over the regular folks that bought into it being some futuristic thing. It's not.

Are you not helmut? You didn't answer that question.

The difference on 5% or 50% of $3k isn't gonna make that much of a difference. It can go to Uranus and he'll still be broke. It's why we haven't seen a screen shot. He's also trying to move over to the other thread now where he's gotten less pushback.
