I kept expecting the piano to go through the window!
2   Automan Empire   2019 Mar 23, 8:12pm

I was totally watching that piano too. Imagine it going over the railing, with an 88-note GLUNNNGGGGGGGGG-Splut! Like right off a Spike Jones record.

After watching a couple of times, I think it is anchored into the flooring--it could do too much damage if it ever got loose.

The captain will not be piloting cruise ships again, if the Board of Directors has one whit of intelligence. Weather and sea states are known 2-3 days in advance now, no reason EXCEPT MONEY, to push onward into known potential bad weather. Same thing happens to pilots, except much faster....

Should just get a very large tug boat to get it further away from shore.

I bet they felt like real Vikings after that!

Helicopter rides are expensive. They got one compliments of the cruise line. I hope they took their luggage with them. I bet that whatever failed was made in a shithole country.

Be funny if they were GE engines wouldn't it ? Made in the USA, from the country that brought you the F-35 and USS Ford Aircraft Carrier - over budget, years over due and still does not work.
9   anonymous   2019 Mar 24, 6:48am

@Booger - the 'shithole' country that made the engines that failed (3 restarted now) was Germany, city of Augsburg

4 diesel engines make: MAN 2 type 9L32/44CR - 2 type 12V32/44CR

Every continent now even on every cruise ship same shit. Golden retrievers and pit bulls are not the same!

Carnival is notoriously bad. Cruised with them 2-3 times. This is going to sound backwards, but the 15 drink limit AND ticket prices are the problem. "I paid for 15 drinks I'm gonna get them ALL!!!" Oh shit, they ran out by 3pm and are wasted and pissed they can't get more drinks.

The ports and surrounding demographics for Carnival are trash as well. Does include white people. They sail out of lower class areas like Jacksonville, FL.

For whatever reason when I've cruised with Norwegian and Royal there's never been an issue. They have unlimited drink packages. When you have to justify the drink package price you get hammered to make sure you get 15. Royal and NCL, you could have 16 and be happy. It's when you go to get 16 and get denied you want to punch people on Carnival.

Low priced fares while nice are probably the worst thing you can do. I'll pay $4-5k on Royal or NCL, but the same cruise on Carnival is $1,500 for the same room category. What kind of guests do you think you're going to get? And I shit you not a lot of these people don't realize the costs at port to do something. So they get emotional about the costs and ran out of drank.

I get most don't like cruising or have never done it. But Royal and Norwegian are the top two majors. You also have to know what you're doing and have it all planned.

This is my cruise planning.... then fucking covid happened and had to cancel everything on this one below. To be blunt blacks just get on a cruise and want to party and don't realize they get ripped off at port. Some white trash too. Also not pimping any businesses here as we didn't go. Got our money back at least. Half are likely out of business from covid cruise shutdowns anyway.
